At my house, I leave the door open almost always, unless there are guests in the apartment. At other people's houses, I close the door (but don't lock it). |

The cat follows me into the bathroom, and it's easier to leave the door open a bit than get up to let her out. In my bathroom the door and toilet get in the way of each other, so it's not really possible to leave the door open when using the toilet. |

Always, with the qualification that the always is when I am showing more than is accepted in polite society. Meaning, I have no problems wandering the apartment in just a pair of shorts or a towel, but if that small amount is coming off for any reason, then I will not subject my roommates (or anyone else) to it. (TMI?) |

Only if someone other than my SO is home. |

I don't close the door to brush my teeth, either. |

Only when someone else is home and I am using the toilet. |

I still suffer from 'Psycho-phobia' & cannot take a shower without having the door shut. In fact, if my husband isn't home, I don't even like to take a shower. |

it depends on who's home and what I'm using the toilet for. |

In my home, i leave the bathroom door open no matter what. It's just my fiance and my cat and I anyways. When people are over, i have to remember to close the door! |

Never when at home. Public bathroom doors tend to close themselves. |

I live in this old house where the toilet is in a different room from the sink & tub. Some people think its tiny and quaint, I find it annoying and claustrophobic, and usually leave the door open. |

I never close the door if I'm home alone. If my husband is around, I only close the door if it's going to be an extended bathroom visit! |

only if there is company over, other than my partner of course! |

I don't have a whole lot of shame, so it doesn't really affect me whether I have the door open or not; sometimes it is, sometimes it's not. |

It mostly depends on whether I want to get away from my housemates or if I'm just going to the bathroom. |

If I, to put it delicately, need to sit down. (As a man, this is not always the case.) Or just to urinate if there's someone other than my husband in the house. |

Used to be if you closed the b-room door, the cat would say "hey! that door wasn't there before!" and open it. And find out it was you and leave... so you close the door, and he'd go "hey! that door wasn't there before!" and open it. And find out it was you and leave... so you close the door, and he'd go ""hey! that door wasn't there before!" and open it. And find out it was you and leave... Then there was the cat in my last place who would come in and stand facing away from you as *soon* as you sat down, and leave as *soon* as you got up, and lead you into the kitchen, and want to be fed. My next place will have a bathroom door that *latches*. *AND* no cats. |
