| anonymous | posted 6-Oct-1998 2:29am IT HAS BEEN DONE, AND BETTER THAN THIS |
| kirst | posted 6-Oct-1998 9:07am I am religious, but not all of my beliefs are that of the Catholic Church. I don't think we can understand "God", but I definitely believe the entity exists. I believe we keep coming back until we get it right. At some point when we learn the truths in the world, we join up with the driving force in the universe. Unrelated...yes, I do believe in ghosts. I grew up in a very old house that had been the sight of an Indian massacre. I (as well as friends and relatives) saw and heard "ghosts". They seemed to be more memories and experiences that were "stuck" in the house. They did not interact with us. |
| lizzie | posted 6-Oct-1998 9:16am Another of these questions as answers surveys! Complain complain. |
| doom | posted 6-Oct-1998 9:35am These are not answers but questions. Please pose a question and then list ANSWERS or just make it an essay question!!! |
| cpierson | posted 6-Oct-1998 9:59am I aggressively don't know. |
| jjg | posted 6-Oct-1998 11:22am No. |
| lisashea | posted 6-Oct-1998 12:06pm WHERE IS THE OTHER CHOICE??? This is another "bad repeat" - it's a combination of all sorts of generally unrelated thoughts. |
| anonymous | posted 6-Oct-1998 5:53pm I am sorry, but it is hard to understand what it means to check the boxes on this survey when they are all questions...is a check supposed to mean yes? |
| romkey | posted 7-Oct-1998 9:52am I think that what's important in the scheme of things is electrons, quarks, neutrinos, and transfer particles, and that we don't really enter into it. |
| phi | posted 7-Oct-1998 10:48am My (200-year-old) freshman dorm suite had a ghost who chewed on pencils and closed the bathroom door. That said, I don't believe in ghosts. romkey: call me: lepton man! |
| Mimi | posted 7-Oct-1998 1:25pm I have always wanted to witness something really strange like a UFO or a miracle or a ghost, but I'm starting to wonder if any of them exist. I do not think death is the end & I'm in no hurry to discover what comes next. I have experienced Deja Vu many times, but it is just a number of impressions that coincide in such a way that you feel like you've been there, done that, etc. |
| presti | posted 8-Oct-1998 10:37am What do we have to be "survey professionals" in order to submit the right question(s) spelling must be perfect, hmmmm let me go back 3 years ago and see if this survey was already done etc... Give this person a break! Maybe it's the first time he/she has ever submitted a survey (or tried at least). From all you guys bashing him, I bet he wouldn't dare submit another. Tough crowd! I'm answering "yes" to each and every one of your questions Sybal. |
| seven | posted 8-Oct-1998 1:05pm I saw the movie "Phenomenon". It's a miracle John Travolta is still working after that. |
| jettles | posted 8-Oct-1998 9:58pm what is with the questions in the answers? i am spiritual, believe in reincarnation, and had deja vu experiences. i also have witnessed miracles or what i consider miracles but others would probably consider everyday events........... |
| bill | posted 11-Oct-1998 7:48am An effort to focus your thoughts on a single subject for a survey question would be a good thing. There are 3-4 survey idea here, each could be explored in its own survey (especially if careful thought was given to the creation of the question and answers). Presti, you raise an interesting issue. I've noticed that there seems to be a pile of old timers (myself included) here who rarely create surveys themselves but have lots of experience and so are poised to rip anyone else to pieces if they create a flawed survey. It's a poisonous environment. I'd like to find a way to... a) motivate the old-timers to create surveys on a regular basis (if each of them created 1 survey per week, we'd have lots of well written surveys every week!), and b) help the newbies write better surveys so they can avoid getting flamed at (and I suspect these people usually leave and never come back because of that treatment). |
| reality | posted 12-Oct-1998 4:09pm I subscribe equally to every believe system that has been presented to me. I don't know what happens, simply because I haven't been dead. are we reincarnated? sure do we come back as animals? why not does karma exist? you betcha do we cease to exist, no spirit etc? yup do we go and hang out with some greater being? uh-huh do we wander aimlessly? yes do we go to some weird gathering place? definitely The questions on ghosts, deja vu or phenomenon (da daa dada da) doesn't really go with the first bit. *bill: I have been trying to be more tolerant since I was chastised... |
| steve | posted 13-Oct-1998 6:02pm Let's see, where to start with the problems with this survey? Well, it's a repeat, for one; I know that we're not supposed to dog about repeat surveys any more, and I restrained myself on the last one, but this bugs me. These questions are yes-no, making it difficult to tell which check boxes you're supposed to check. And what the fudge does Deja Vu (a fairly straightforward neurological tick, which happens to just about everyone at some time) have to do with all this other superstitious garbage? And I've witnessed many phenomena. Right now, the cursor is flashing; that's a phenomenon. |
| dpolicar | posted 15-Oct-1998 4:02pm Geez. When it comes to untestable propositions, my usual habit is to believe whatever it makes me happiest and most productive to believe. This varies, depending on what's going on in my life at the time. Since the question seems to presume a relatively fixed position on the questions, the only one I checked was deja vu. |
| anonymous | posted 23-Oct-1998 5:43pm I detest organized religion. |
| Frostbrand | posted 22-Nov-1998 5:23pm I believe that where you go after you die really depends on your belief. If you believe life simply ends, poof, you're gone. If you believe strongly enough that you're going to heaven, or hell, or are going to be reincarnated, that's what will happen. Me? I'd like to be the inspiration for an X-Files episode. A ghost with telekinesis. |
| Wicksy | posted 8-Dec-1998 5:03am Ghosts, of course they exist, millions upon millions have seen them. Surely they're not all fibbing |
| anonymous | posted 21-Feb-1999 6:17pm I have seen ghosts, or perhaps I was hallucinating. If we gain enough bad Karma it is possible to be re-born as a ghost. |
| clare | posted 11-Aug-2006 3:13pm I don't have a problem answering a single question in a survey, but I refuse to answer multiple questions in a single survey. Each of these questions should have been a separate survey. |
