| Biggles | posted 15-Jan-2002 2:44pm I press my right nostril with my right hand, and my left nostril with my left hand - so both. I just use one to wipe though! |
| autumnlight | posted 15-Jan-2002 2:59pm Both usually. Ooh, I blow my nose in the same way as Biggles! |
| Oscar | posted 15-Jan-2002 3:05pm 3 |
| jettles | posted 15-Jan-2002 3:34pm one hand i think!! |
| anoddoblivion | posted 15-Jan-2002 5:32pm One. |
| confetti | posted 15-Jan-2002 5:46pm Other: my nose never runs. Seriously. |
| juliw | posted 15-Jan-2002 6:44pm I use both hands to hold my Kleenex. |
| mandy | posted 15-Jan-2002 8:10pm Two |
| Enheduanna | posted 15-Jan-2002 8:49pm Two. Plus a tissue or a handkerchief. |
| SueBee | (reply to Biggles) posted 15-Jan-2002 11:40pm I would like to see you try to press your right nostril with your left hand, and your left nostril with your right hand. That would be entertaining! |
| SueBee | (reply to Oscar) posted 15-Jan-2002 11:41pm That was NOT one of the options! (How many hands do you have, anyway?) |
| SueBee | (reply to Enheduanna) posted 15-Jan-2002 11:42pm Ewwww!! Good point! It is rather unpleasant without a tissue or hanky! |
| Dino | posted 16-Jan-2002 8:37am two - I'm really one of those weird sneezers. I take in a huge breath, hunch my shoulders and let out ............ a little pathetic squeak. Apparantly that's bad and I do get spots before my eyes doing it. |
| grmbrand | posted 16-Jan-2002 9:01am Two hands. It's all about containment. |
| Oscar | (reply to SueBee) posted 16-Jan-2002 9:38am wouldn't you like to know? |
| CarolL | (reply to Dino) posted 16-Jan-2002 9:38am You're right, it is not a good practice. I know this because I had a brain aneurysm sneak up on me one year ago (on Friday to be exact) and it could have well happened sooner if I sneezed that way. It was just one of those things some people are born with and it was just a matter of time before it blew. I had no idea it was there, and no warning it was ready to go. All turned out OK, though, thank goodness. I taste and smell wet paint all the time now, though. How annoying, but I guess that's better than the alternative |
| ASB | posted 16-Jan-2002 10:49am How do you do it with one? |
| notyou | posted 16-Jan-2002 12:49pm 1 |
| Biggles | (reply to SueBee) posted 16-Jan-2002 12:58pm Entertaining for *you* maybe - pretty painful for me! I just tried it actually - it's doable! |
| cuteasabutton | posted 16-Jan-2002 2:15pm Two- but I hate to blow my nose! It tickles! |
| cuteasabutton | (reply to confetti) posted 16-Jan-2002 2:16pm All right. You and happyme need to be shot. No one could *possibly* be as perfect as the two of you!!!! |
| Biggles | (reply to ASB) posted 16-Jan-2002 2:43pm Squeeze one nostril with your thumb and the other with your index finger. I've thought this through |
| confetti | (reply to cuteasabutton) posted 16-Jan-2002 3:29pm |
| ASB | (reply to Biggles) posted 16-Jan-2002 3:33pm lol doesn't seem very efficient |
| SueBee | (reply to Oscar) posted 17-Jan-2002 12:52am Yes. I'm a very curious person. If you have three hands, I'm just trying to picture where the third one is attached. I've decided you'd need another arm, too, or it wouldn't be much use. |
| SueBee | (reply to Biggles) posted 17-Jan-2002 12:55am But my own entertainment is all I care about. *evil laughter echos throughout the room* |
| SueBee | (reply to ASB) posted 17-Jan-2002 12:58am It works okay in a pinch. LOL |
| Dino | posted 17-Jan-2002 5:07am yeah I need to be one of those bellowers. I get really self-concsious though doing it in public. I'm a really self-concsious person. But I guess the alternative is worse then mild psychological discomfort. Mmm wet paint. Not a good smell. Maybe you should create a survey. |
| ASB | (reply to SueBee) posted 17-Jan-2002 6:48am your funny |
| CarolL | (reply to Dino) posted 17-Jan-2002 9:26am About what? |
| Oscar | (reply to SueBee) posted 17-Jan-2002 9:50am true, but if I told you where it's at I'd have to kill you |
| Dino | posted 17-Jan-2002 12:09pm What would be the worse smell to constantly experience or something. Describe your own experience in the explanation. It could be good. The worse could be body odour - you'd never know!!!!! |
| CarolL | (reply to Dino) posted 17-Jan-2002 12:30pm Yeah. That's good. OK, I'll do it today. Thanks for the tip. |
| SueBee | (reply to Oscar) posted 17-Jan-2002 10:47pm LOL |
| Zang | posted 18-Jan-2002 12:54am I don't use my hands. I use a tissue! |
| Biggles | (reply to ASB) posted 18-Jan-2002 1:15pm lol Maybe not |
| serendipity | posted 20-Jan-2002 10:11am I do not. If I do it comes pouring out of my eyes. My wife didn't believe it and I showed her. She felt the jet of air whizzing along my eyeballs. |
