Air conditioner ( BIG one), air flowing through a vent from the air conditioner, background humming from CPUs, mouses and keyboards clicking, and an ocassional door opening.

The TV news update on MSNBC at 7 p.m. Pacific time, US. I am waiting to check out a movie coming on at 8. I have an hour to wait so while I surf the Web I channel surf also until the movie comes on.

I hear the cold night wind rustling through the trees in our front yard. I hear the crickets chirping. I hear the computer humming.

Oh, by the way--I love "The Hobbit". I love it I love it I love it! After that I'm going to reread "The Fellowship" and then by that time "The Two Towers" will have arrived in the country and I can read that, and then I can read "The Return of the King", which I already have.

Just the tv

I just farted. The next loudest sound comes from the fans in my bedroom. Yes, it's January in New England, but I just poly-urethaned a piece of furniture today and it's in my room with fans blowing the fumes out. I hear the little whirring and clicking of my "Person Jukebox" MP3 do-hicky merrily writing music to its disk, and the fans of my computer's CPU. My house mate just coughed downstairs, and I just farted again.

Lots of annoying sounds everywhere, its driving me nuts!!!

Freeway noises that sound like waves at the ocean.

The tv is on, a train going past my home & the couple living next door shouting at each other.

What's playing?

A whirring CPU fan cycling in and out of phase with the other cyclic electronic noises coming from the computer, the monitor, and the printer.
Sounds something roughly like: wwwwwWWWWWwwwwWWWWwwwwWWWWwwwwWWWwwww...
And I think it the distance, I can hear some neurons dying...

I hear the refrigerator, heater, coffee pot staying hot, my computer, and my typing on the keyboard.

I hear the television in the other room. My mom is watching Mary Tyler Moore on TVLand. My sister is talking to a friend on her cell phone, and heating something up in the microwave. I think both my cats are asleep. I also hear a car horn outside.

The heat blasting. It's pretty loud.

An advert on the tv (I'm waiting for Stargate: SG1 to start) for C4's new reality show. Me typing. Electrical hum. A car going past outside. Distant city noise (very distant). The silence beyond the sound.

I'm listening to Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin which is playing on channel 31, a public access TV channel. I can hear the fan in the computer, my keystrokes, and the air conditioner humming.

I usually have The Box or MTV on while on the internet, the tune currently playing is 'on the radio' by Nelly Furtado. I like that tune.

Dang! My dryer sucks then,cause it doesn't hum,I can hear the clothes flopping around in it everytime we dry clothes.

Um what's the brand name of your dryer,so when we need to replace it, I can get the kind you got.
Then again my dryer is like,almost 19 years old.

A car with bad bearings just drove down the street (God that squealing noise is loud), the pouring rain on the roof, the wind gusts hitting the sliding glass door on the deck and making it rattle and the wind chimes play, a train whistle (it's 12:52 am Monday morning). I can also hear the hum of the computer tower, the clicking of the keyboard and the fridge motor just kicked on (we've got one of those self-defrosting models). I can also hear & feel my left knee joint pop when I shift my legs cause my arthritis is bothering me (cuz it cold and wet outside and the barometer is dropping).
