| confetti | posted 25-Dec-2001 1:51pm I don't think so much about it I only really pay attention to music that is good, and stores rarely play it. |
| kaleb777 | posted 25-Dec-2001 1:58pm Yes. I get embarrassed. |

| serendipity | posted 25-Dec-2001 3:03pm Why do you guys insist on shaming me at every turn? Horrible! |
| lilmisfirecrakr | posted 25-Dec-2001 3:59pm It's not like anyone cares. Excuse me, - it's not like anyone who matters cares. |
| Maarten | posted 25-Dec-2001 4:30pm Humming maybe, dancing no. |
| jettles | posted 25-Dec-2001 5:14pm hard to answer, i think, because it seems like the question and explanation are asking two different things??!! |
| mary | posted 25-Dec-2001 11:17pm if they're playing the stones I feel like it's all centered on me... so I kinda walk a little to the music I guess maybe that's just in the bar |
| mandy | posted 25-Dec-2001 11:37pm Like anyone would have the balls to challenge the way I stride.... |
| romkey | posted 25-Dec-2001 11:53pm depends on the song, but definitely sometimes |
| jkiehart | posted 26-Dec-2001 12:13am Always! I try to not do it, but I can't help it! |
| Dino | posted 27-Dec-2001 5:50am I can't help walking in rhythm when this happens no matter what the song. |
| ASB | posted 27-Dec-2001 9:02pm I like the Bee Gees!!!! |
| Dino | posted 28-Dec-2001 4:06am Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk, I'm a woman's man: no time to talk. Music loud and women warm, I've been kicked around since I was born. And now it's all right. It's OK. And you may look the other way. We can try to understand the New York Time's effect on man. Whether you're a brother or whether you're a mother, you're stayin' alive, stayin' alive. Feel the city breakin' and everybody shakin', and we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive. Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive. Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive. |
| kaleb777 | (reply to Dino) posted 28-Dec-2001 1:10pm Are they the real lyrics? What the heel does the last line of the first verse mean? |
| mandy | (reply to kaleb777) posted 28-Dec-2001 1:56pm Good God! You don't recognise the BeeGees...Stayin' Alive? From the movie Saturday Night Fever!!!!!!! *sings* We can try to understand the New York Times effect on man |
| kaleb777 | (reply to mandy) posted 28-Dec-2001 2:05pm "WHAT DOES IT MEAN???!!!" :-~ |
| mandy | (reply to kaleb777) posted 28-Dec-2001 2:19pm Pepperpot voice: "How should I know? I'm not Dr. Bloody Bronowski!!" |
| Jemmy | posted 28-Dec-2001 5:47pm I don't think I've ever come across this little um....dilemma. |
| jkiehart | (reply to kaleb777) posted 28-Dec-2001 7:54pm Mean?? MEAN?? It means... it means... Let's dance!! |
| cuteasabutton | posted 29-Dec-2001 11:54pm I never notice. |
| Dino | (reply to kaleb777) posted 31-Dec-2001 3:53am To tell you the truth it is probably something simplistic like - The Beegees are sitting 'round the kitchen table trying to come up with lyrics and they're stuck so they just throw it in figuring no-one will notice and anyone trying to sing it will just go 'na na na la la la' when they get to that bit. |
| kaleb777 | (reply to Dino) posted 31-Dec-2001 12:22pm Good explanation. |
| Cleo | posted 1-Jan-2002 1:47am No I don't care whos looking at me.I sometimes break out in a short dance.& If I know the words I will even sing out loudly. |
| natsim | posted 2-Jan-2002 12:25am No. I like to walk to the beat, but I'm probably not as exaggerated as the Bee Gees. |
| skylark | posted 7-Jan-2002 9:20am When I hear music I sometimes adjust my movement speed and steps to the beat. |
| Galomorro | posted 7-Jan-2002 10:32pm I like the idea of stores playing various music loudly for pedestrians to hear. Sometimes I even turn down my Walkman so as to hear something different. |
| mrsbbear | posted 10-Jan-2002 12:32pm I guess if it's a song I like, I don't mind. If it's something I would be embarrassed to walk to, (like the song "Pretty Woman" or "Mony Mony" or "I wanna #$%@ you like an animal") then I would consciously break my stride. Good question! |
