Have you ever gone hitchhiking?

With my parents once when I was a little kid. We just climbed into the back of a dusty truck to go to a beach.

"Gone" hitchhiking suggests that I've hitchhiked for the fun of it (like I might go cycling or running). I've hitchhiked on several occasions, but only when I needed to - either my car had broken down, or there was no public transport, or whatever.

Gone hitchhiking? I've hitchhiked on numerous occasions. I'm not sure what you mean by "gone hitchhiking" though. When I was in my late teens to mid twenties I used to get around that way sometimes. It is sort of like getting a free cab ride.

I never have but my dad hitchhiked from Wales to Manchester to look after his mum in law when she was ill.

I've been hitchhiking several times. I've been alone and with other girlfriends. I have had great experiences....none have been negative. I did get a creepy feeling I was going to be raped when I did it alone one time, but nothing happened. I've even picked up male hitchhikers a few times too and nothing happened.
