What is the difference between Ok and Okay?
Isn't this the same thing?

When you are using the word in a sentence, "okay" is the preferred spelling.

See my latest survey that I'm trying to get qualified.
I was requested to change Ok to Okay.
And Why after I make all the changes did my rating go from 56% down into the 30%s?

iwish40 - it's okay to just say "no, I want to leave it the way it is, I don't really think it makes a difference".

And you don't have to satisfy every person who comments. Don't take it personally.

iwish - just looked at the survey. I think your responses were good.

It's not so much that I'm taking it personaly, it's just that I don't understand why there is such nit-picking.
I mean its not like we're writing for the editor....lol
It would be fun if we could see eachothers surveys as they are being qualified.
Only the ones who judge or critique the surveys could do the replys.
We still couldn't give our answers untill the survey came out.
Maybe seeing other peoples misstakes would make us better???
I know it's a Corny idea...but hey, at least its an idea...

From my perspective, the point of SC is to communicate... specifically in the form of asking questions and collecting answers.

I've been a lot more harsh about qualifying in the past, but I've come around to feeling that as long as you can understand the question... it's reasonable.

There are some users, though, who feel that it really takes something away if the question is written poorly or has bad grammar or spelling, and are sometimes offended by it. For them, one of the things that helps SC stand apart from other sites is that it's generally of a better quality (in this sense) than they are. They're the ones who are the most nitpicky in qualification... I know it can be pretty frustrating. They're frustrated too, which I think shows frequently.

I think that one of the things that happens sometimes is that irritation with things builds up with multiple instances of them... like spelling problems - even if the surveys aren't all from the same person (of course, in qual you can't tell if it's the same person).

Anyway, the site isn't Grammar Central or Spelling Central... it's Survey Central. I think you can usually safely argue or ignore with the couple of severe nitpickers and get your survey through anyway. *fingers crossed*
