Hurray! Paid subscriptions!I'm willing to pay $20 just to see if the way faster loading time makes me use SC more often. In my pay-rate, that's a long day's labor in exchange for what may be a year's worth of conversation and entertainment. So, my question is, does PayPal skim a bunch off the top? Would you much prefer a check? Or are they about the same to you? |

I believe Paypal skims $0.62 off my $20 subscription fee.
I don't really have a preference. A check does save me a few cents, but dealing with a check takes a little more effort on my part (and would cost you a stamp).
If you're not already signed up with Paypal, it can be a pain to go through that process... I've heard some complaints, though I don't recall it being too bad for me.
Handing me a $20 bill in person isn't a bad way to do it, but we never see each other anymore...

I'm not sure, but I have received paypal payments from people who live in UK and Sweden... and I think they just used paypal.com. I know there's a process it uses to verify addresses, but I didn't know there was some country issue. You really should ask paypal about it. |

I'm hoping to be able to accept credit cards directly in the near future. ...a big step for me. If so, I should be able to accept payments directly.

If people sign up for PayPal, they can pay you using their credit card. It's really safe, too.
