I'm finding that too many new surveys are showing up for me to keep up w/SC, as much as I would like to. Maybe the number of votes for qualification could be increased a bit so that the rate of surveys being qualified could be decreased? I know I'm just one vote, I'm just putting the idea out as feedback. | bill

Well, I'm not sure what SurveySelector you are using, but there are some that do a fairly good job of limiting what surveys you see. "The Week's Best" only shows surveys made in the last 7 days that have approval ratings > 50% - there are "month" variants as well.
...or, "Just New" for new surveys only.
You can use "hide" to hide new surveys as they come out as well. Also, you can filter surveys by creator. ...all of these things will limit how many surveys you see.
If that's still too much, I could perhaps make other SurveySelectors based on just 3 days.
The site has been getting a flood of new users and thus new surveys. The qualification area is actually fairly full of surveys that are being held back.
I suspect that raising the number of "reasonable" votes needed to get a survey qualified would not actually reduce the rate of new surveys much. It may increase the quality though (maybe).
I can't keep up either, that's why I got motivated to implement the "Replies" feature. I try to answer all the new surveys, but I don't tend to go back and look at them after they are a week old - unless someone replies to something I said on one of them. |
