On B3ta there's a system in place so that once people have joined they have to wait until the following Tuesday to be able to post, so they can get to know what the site's like. I was wondering whether or not that's a good idea for here, but for making surveys. Tell me if it's not. *smile*

Generally, I prefer less restrictions on people. So, I'd need some convincing before I did this. What problem are we solving here? Has there been a recent rash of bad noobs posting bad things? What sort of posts do you mean?

Surveys get qualified, so that seems to be covered already. Also, to be a qualifier you need to have made a survey.

But, filling out surveys, and commenting, and posting in the forums is open to anyone.

If there's a spammer, I'm happy to remove everything by them (it's just 2 clicks for me). Just let me know.
