I need to order new checks, and, oh my, so many decisions. I have my eye on the My Little Pony series...

Absurd comes to mind.

I don't use checks because of what Cabinfever wrote.I have bounced too many because I forgot about them.

Do you mean check-cards?? Or paper checks? I didn't let my hubby use his card for two years because of the forgetting-to-write-them-down thing.

oh! I meant paper checks. I would write checks and then forget that I wrote them and then some would bounce. I'm very badddd when it comes to money. Last yeaar I received a check for $11,000 and spent it in 3 weeks. In December I got one for $30,000 and it's been gone for two weeks, and now I'm very pissed at myself. I love to spend on other people, because Allie's father passed away I thought if I bought her lots of stuff it wouldn't be too bad at Christmas time.I was just trying to make her happy. That's why I was in such a pickle when my dog got sick, because I couldn't ask my family for money, they would want to know where my money went so fast. Live and learn I guess.

Depends on if they are little chocolate Santas... then yes, sorry to say, that's a bit tacky. That's why I like to get the Hershey Kisses that are wrapped in silver and blue.... *laughing out loud*

Checks with pictures on them are silly. It's just someones idea to make a buck off of our desire to be different, unique...cute?
Most of them interfere with what you are wrinting, the goofy pictures takes up the whole page, so something important you write, like the number of zeros can be somewhat camoflaged, or blurred out. I almost always get the 'safety' ones because they are the least expensive, I got fancy once but it didn't last. Paper checks are like toilet paper, you use them once and then throw them away. I really don't need my checks to tell about who I am.
On the other hand, These Santa ones are gong to follow me like a strip of toilet paper on the bottom of my shoe coming out of the bathroom, people will be giggling and pointing at me.
If only Mary hadn't of laughed at me (for half an hour) I would be fine.

If I wanted to be unique with my checks, I'd write obnoxious things in the memo space.......

*grin*

Yeah, but who reads the memo space?

I get compliments on my checks all the time.

Hey! I do that...... I used to work for a check collection agency, entering data from the checks and filing them was one of my jobs... I loved when someone wrote something stupid or silly in the memo.

So I do it for those people in banks that will see it... I might be making their day.... Also, to embarrass my mom... because when I write checks to her I'll write "for heroin", or "for prostitute" in the memo. It's fun *grin* *grin*

I like silly and cute checks. I've had art ones before. Degas or Van Gogh, I don't remember.

They: that's a good idea! I should start doing that to any checks I write at WalMart... the cashiers there know me by now.

When I think 'Texas Apple' I think of something also referred to as a 'horse apple'.... *shock*

* rolls eyes * a Texas Apple is a hot little pepper, looks like a fire flavored Cert, those mint things, extremely hot in my opinion

My Mary is telling everyone about my great deal. The Santa checks. Now the whole town knows and they are getting quite the chuckle out of it.
The check company said they were a popular design, I just didn't realize how popular they made me.
