...to everyone and especially Verouge.
The last thing I wanted was to create a witch hunt, but I realize that's exactly what I did last night.

I am VERY fond of the SC community and the last thing I want is someone trying to destroy it by being a complete butt-hole and putting users up against eachother, like Richard/Whizkid/Jason is doing.

So again, I am sorry I went too far. I love you all (well, most of you * wink * ) and let's keep this community going for a long time to come without too many trolls.

Hi Maarten.

Because:
- I like this site,
- I respect ALL the users and I LIKE most of them,
- I do care of SC,
- I want to keep this site on and protect it from "bad-people",
- I am one of these users,
- I understand your situation (although I deny all what you did last time, it really hurt me),
- And because I respect Bill and all his demands and opinions. (He is the creator of this site and we are the followers).

I accept your apologize, I do forgive you but I don't know if I would forget what happened the last time!

Sincerly yours.
Marwan Chahine.

Bon conseil!
Tu peux pardonner Maarten - il est vraiment un chic type qui a fait une erreur... Tu vois, maintenant, la merde que ce Richard peut causer? We're all paranoid because we know he's watching us... * frown *

Je lui ai déjà fait confiance, il y longtemps et je l'ai même défendu quand tout le monde semblait contre lui... But I know better now! And so do you! * wink *

I basically understand Italian but I wouldn't go as far as saying that I speak, nor write it... It took me about 15 minutes to figure out how to write that line that I can easily say!

In NC they would refer to one as "Livermush" instead of chopped liver. I have yet to figure out (even from restaurants that serve this on the menu) what livermush really is. * dead face *

http://www.csmonitor.com/2004/1222/p14s01-lifo.htm...

As you can see, it's made from chopped pork livers. Traditional chopped liver is made from chicken livers, not pork because chopped liver is of Jewish tradition, hence no pork products. They are two separate dishes.
http://www.jewish-food.org/recipes/meat0027.htm
The first ingredient on the list is another name for rendered chicken fat.

And here is a recipe for livermush....http://www.chefrick.com/html/recipe19.html

I'm with you on that! However, my sister likes both fried liver & onions and fried chicken livers! Quadruple YUCK!! to all of them! When my grandmother made fried liver & onions for her and my sister, she made me scrambled eggs. She knew I wouldn't eat the liver & onions. The only time my sister got a fried chicken liver is when we had fried chicken. As long as I got the wishbone, I didn't care what pieces my grandmother (who ate the heart and gizzard) and sister (chicken liver) ate.

Whenever I asked my mother what was for dinner and she replied "Tuna fish" I knew that I would be eating a tuna sandwich outside. I could not stand the smell of liver cooking. It made me very sick to my stomach. She would air out the house and spray lysol around until I could come back inside.

I didn't mind the smell, it was the taste that was my downfall. On the subject of tuna...I will eat tuna in a sandwich, but you can't get me to eat tuna casserole. I've always disliked hot tuna dishes made from canned tuna, the same goes for another hot fish dish, scalloped salmon made with canned salmon. I'll eat fresh tuna and fresh salmon, but I don't like the canned varieties heated up, especially in a casserole of some kind. On the other hand, my grandmother and I were both fond of split pea soup and my sister wouldn't touch it. She called it elephant snot soup...sometimes while we were eating it! * dead face *

I'll eat canned tuna but, like you, will not touch the stuff hot.

My partner like to say things sometimes while we are eating about her work (these comments usually involve bodily functions in some form...she teaches autistic kids). I'll have to remember your sister's comment about the split pea soup since I won't eat it either. It's not the taste so much as it is a dry texture that I can't handle. It's kind of like coconut...I like the flavor but will not eat coconut...the texture is too much like getting sand in my mouth and not being about to get it out for days.

Hmmm....I've never had split pea soup that had a dry texture. Maybe whomever made the soup you were eating (or if it was canned) didn't know how to make it correctly.

I wish you could try the split pea soup with ham at Teresa's Deli. They only serve it on Thursdays (they have a homemade soup daily) and it's even better than my grandmother's...and that's saying something!
