CK,

This is quite funny, the survey about two screens , I now find that I could do with two screens .

The reason is as you all know I gamble on the net and am looking at Two-Tabling which is to play two tables at the same time (one table on each screen) my $ per hour rate will be better.

anyway I know you guys have/used to or know how to do this.

I run Windows XP home ...my other question is the mouse?.......... How does the mouse know which screen YOU want it to work on?..... Is there some kind of switch.

Thanks in advance,

Regards David

You need to install a second video card & hook up the second monitor to this one.
When you go into your display properties, both monitors should be available.
If you have done everything right, you will have the start bar and icons on one of your monitors and just your desktop picture on the second one.
I don't know how the mouse knows, but it does.

I work at a computer repair store & have 2 monitors at my desk. One monitor has my Service program on it and the other has my Service schedule on it.

Works like a charm.

sorry to clarify,

If I open one window, and then I open another will it automatically "jump" to the other monitor?
how will that work,

how do you tell the computer that you want X window open on monitor A and Y window to be open on monitor B etc etc

I think the others have answered best. At my weekend job I use four computers at once, all fed to the same keyboard/mouse. There is a master pushbutton switch setup for 1,2,3,4. You just push which computer you want to control. But, I don't think you intend to have multiple computers.
