Can someone explain why the surveys have to sit in the unqualified for 24 hours? If there are 5 reasonable votes, no needs work votes and the percent is over 50, why does it have to sit there? Time really has nothing to do with how good a survey is.

Because that's the way it is. This has been discussed on the forum and feedback pages, and the general consensus is that the 24 hour period is fine.

You could always do a survey about it if you want to find out what people really think * smile *

kirsty, the 24-hour rule is a great idea, because some users create multiple accounts and try to push their own surveys through. Having to wait 24 hours ensures that other users get a chance to take a look at the survey in these cases.

It prevents surveys from being ram-rodded through by secret coalition in the wee hours of the night before the general audience has the opportunity to object.
