Here is where you can donate directly to the American Red Cross. Select the International Relief Fund: http://american.redcross.org/site/PageServer?pagen... |

Why can't I just win the lottery? I feel bad that I can't send any money to these people because I am just keeping afloat myself. I want to make someone's life different, I really do. I just cannot. |

That's okay, Carol.
I know how you feel. I don't have money either, but even if I did I would be very cautious as to where I'm giving money to. Instead, I donate blood and help out friends and strangers whenever I can. |

You can send as little as $10 online to the Red Cross.
If you can't that is no big deal. People do what they can. |

Do they buy eggs in Canada? As in human female eggs? I have a niece who is making $5,000 by selling hers. |

I don't think so. I'll Google it later. How much does she make per egg? |

I don't know the details, just that she's getting $5k for doing this. I think she's 25 years old, single still living at home. |

Great, but does one really care about 20 cents? |

My company is donating dollar for dollar any contributions employees make. You just have to email them a copy of your check or online receipt.
So, I just forwarded my receipt to them from the American Red Cross. |

I wouldn't be so concerned with 20 cents but if they like added the $20 to your bill. I'd care about that and get my butt beat. |

Why isn't anyone concerned with the Dominican Republic?
Some of our family friends has to be evacuated from DR last week because of the earthquake. |

My church has missionaries already in Hati so I donated there and every cent goes there as oppossed to 91 cents of every dollar that Red Cross sends. |

Sounds good enough to me. 'Admin' is calculated in different ways. Fuel to get to Haiti, food to feed the people helping, all that comes under admin. IT support to keep people up to date; to set up the donation in the first place, costs money. And it's for it's own sake, and not under the banner of God, which is a 'figure' I doubt most people who have lost their homes and families want to hear about any time soon. |
