Couple miles north of me there's this fire. Latest update by the news was almost 2 hours ago, where they said it was 8 acres and moving south.  Earlier, it was so smoky, I had to come inside. *wheeze*
I'm just south of 68th, near the Campbell airstrip road. I haven't heard any planes or helicopters lately, so maybe it's out. I wish the news would update, though.

Nope. I don't know yet. Seems quiet and smoke-free right now. That's a good sign |

Nah, they spray a chemical on the fire which reduces it to powdered form. They're sucking it up in that picture.

The fire that happened near here about a month ago is still going.
Last I heard it was 100% contained (still smokey)..then it lightninginged..and that caused it to not be contained anymore..
The peat's on fire..so it's underground..and just about every other day it's very smokey and the visibility is limited..
But that red stuff is actually a special blend of secret spices. No one knows for sure what all the ingredients are, but there was a leak of some information and I can tell you, cayenne pepper is definitely one of the ingredients. |
