I might be more interested in politics!
Really, this shoot was just an opportunity to "one-up" my older sister who works at the Senate. She has picture of her and Justin framed in her living room and never fails to point it out. So there big sis! I do walk in your tracks! |

I just realized that this photo won't mean anything to most people at SC but I know Iseult will be envious!
He's married now Iseult!! *sigh* |

I just read the eulogy he wrote for his father; it's quintessentially Canadian... It's sweet!

If you want to read it - I was in tears because I can so relate to what he's saying...

He's adorable.
But you never hear anything about him on the TV - or maybe I'm not watching TV enough. Where'd you meet him? |

I don't watch TV either but he's making noise with his web page so I knew he was entering politics. He's got the Papineau Riding which is a Liberal stronghold (a Liberal - just like Daddy was!) and there was the West Island Blues Festival on Saturday so it was a perfect opportunity for him to be seen. He went on stage and welcomed everyone to the festival. I didn't have my camera when he came to our table (we were taking a break - and a beer!) but he had accepted to take a few pictures with me and the president of the blues society. When I came back with my camera, he had moved on but after making his round, he looked up at me from a distance and nodded to see if I had my cam - true to his word, he came back for the shots! He's really very sweet and quite affable - he may look more like his Mom but he sure has his Daddy's charisma! |

AFTER TONIGHT...
Will you remember
How sweet and tenderly
You reached for me and pulled me closer?
After you go
Will you return to love me
After tonight begins to fade?

Oh God! His name isn't even Don - it's Rob! And no word of a lie; I played this song for him while I was at his place;
Liar, Liar
Written by: J. Higgins and J. Tremblay
You said you loved me. Liar, liar.
I bet your pretty nose is longer than a telephone wire.
Too bad, so sad, well that's okay.
It's not like I believed you anyway.
Sure you are the brightest star that sparkles up the night.
But you're the first to fade when comes the morning light.
Well, I'm okay cause I've been round your type before.
At first it's tender promise, then you leave us wanting more.
You said forever. Yeah right.
I guess for you forever only lasts one night.
So long. Farewell. I'm okay.
Just close the door behind you and be on your way.
I knew you were a tomcat. That's no surprise.
I saw the hollow hunger burning in your eyes.
It's the hunt, it's the chase, it's the catch, that's your thrill.
Then you leave them bleeding once you've had your fill.
You said you loved me. Liar, liar.
Don't go and think you've set this foolish heart on fire.
No loss, no gain. What do I care?
Cause I can find my loving,
Yes, I can find my loving,
Yes, I can find my tender loving elsewhere.
It's a great song! You can listen to it here; http://www.sonicbids.com/epk/epk.aspx?epk_id=43453... (it's the 11th song down the list). What's worse is that I think I forgot that CD at his place and he hasn't replied to me. Prick! Doesn't matter anyway, I can get another one. I picked Miss Higgins up at the airport Tuesday 'cause she's playing at Montreal's International Jazz Fest tomorrow and Saturday. We've been hitting the local blues bars since she arrived! I'm so pooped! Let me know what you think of the song...

Isn't it? I just loved it the first time I heard it! She promised to play it for me tomorrow night as I won't be able to make her show on Saturday. She called me a few minutes ago - we're not going to Pete's Smoked Meat (a blues institution in Montreal); she's too tired and just wants to hang out at the Jazz Fest tonight... *sigh of relief* Man, Pete's is 60 Km from my house!
I think I may even bow out entirely tonight - it's hard to park downtown and I can hear thunder, so... |

It kinda helps if you know the artist! Garrett Mason (the next Canadian Blues Legend!) played at the festival last night but I couldn't see him because I had to go see this band called Back Door Slam from England - Davy Knowles (guitarist) is being called the next guitar legend and he is good but as Eric Clapton said "There's one in every town!". I got Garrett's new CD and it's Great!! I just love this kid's sound... Some people say that blues is dying; trust me! Not as long as there are such talented musicians playing it out there. |

After I spoke to you, I had to go pick up my GF to head up North and I was playing Garrett's CD really loud (sounds best that way) and this total stranger on a bicycle comes up to me and asks; "C'est qui ca?" So I told him and he answered in the most vulgar French; "Ye bon en tabarnak!" He's right, he is really good! |

hahahaha..
Did you just say "GF"? hehehehehe... you mean your friend who is female.. RIGHT IRENE??????
You know something, it's either you and me like the same type of singers and music, or all the Franco-people do so.. Because I heard two songs for Garett and I like it, I dont know all the songs, but I like what I heard.. I gotta go and find these two songs because I heard them on Radio a couple of times.. I guess it was his new album..
Donc c'est comme ca qu'on parle ds les rues "Ye bon tabarnak"? I only hear the vulgar French in French movies sur channel art ou bien canal+, mais jamais live although my brother lived en France durant 20ans... NO I NEVER VISITED HIM |

It's not the same sounding French over here and the vulgar stuff really sounds raw. So on what radio station did you hear Garrett Mason??
I'm pooped today because the people I'm with won't let me sleep when I'm tired and I was out all night partying the night before with Mason's base player (the bad boy of the band!) Now I need to catch up on my snoozing but it's impossible - days are really long at this festival and now I'm on break - time to sneek a cool beer and get refreshed in the AC of our condo... I'll try to catch the Guitar Explosion show before they lock us up in our cage again! |

It's been about 3months I didnt attend a party with a band there... Lately I am just going to night clubs..
I was partying toonight with my gf, it was her graduation night! I brought her a peluche et un colier for her graduation dress.. We took some pictures together before we went to the party, I will show u some of..

He didn't show... I saw him earlier today, I knew better than to wait up for him. He says that he's coming later tonight and will probably crash here - he gave me some work to do so maybe he will show up. Who knows with him? He may or he may not... I'm so loaded with work right now, all we'll get to do is watch each other sleep anyway! |

So.... He came at 7:30 AM this morning. He fell asleep somewhere and found his way to my place - I told him to go to bed because I hadn't done his work yet. He didn't get up before 1 PM so I did his work and I thought he'd leave but it's past 10 PM and he's sleeping in my bed now. He didn't want to leave, we had a good time - dinner and a dip in the pool then he went for another snooze. Poor kid! He's stressed and over worked, his pager hasn't stopped ringing since this afternoon and it's still buzzing... I guess he feels safe here or something, for me - I just like a warm body to sleep next to... *sigh* |

By the way, when you called on Friday, I was at his place. I had stopped by to pick something up before I left for the Blues festival. I was confused because you have the same accent as Yazid who is in Algers right now. (I'm doing business with him presently but I think his intentions go beyond that.... Know what I mean? ) He called last night to tell me that he'd be back in August and I told him that he'd miss my Bday so he said that I was not to celebrate it without him! Hmmm... I like going out with him; he often hangs out in Algerian owned places in Montreal and since he's such a celebrity back home; he never has to pay for anything and is treated like royalty! So I like to ride his coat tails! |
