Yesterday, we went to the pride parade with Ben's mom and her girlfriend.... It was my second year at pride... and again, it was a blast. Just a few pictures:

I used to go to the parade and festival in St Louis. It was major. So much fun. It is interesting when things like this occur. You can feel so isolated and like the only gay person/couple in your town then you go to a Pride parade in a big city and its overwhelming but in a good way. I always take a giant sigh of relief- 'Ahhhh we aren't alone here.' It was SO depressing the year I went when I had decided to be 'straight'. I wanted it back so bad but my perfectionism and desire to please others stayed strong. My desire to hop around flirting left and right was so intense, as I usually did in that kind of environment at that age. Not having to worry about trouble from barking up the wrong tree is absolutely delightful because there, even if the girl or woman is straight, they aren't uncomfortable with being approached.

Homo Estas?

Is that like a gay Mexican parade. Its like the Mexican immigration and the gay parade merged into one.

Sorry they were big.... they weren't very good pics, so the bigger the better for viewing.

I made the one of me and ben smaller so you wouldn't have to see my pores.. *wink*

Iseult: he was sexy in his undies though! I tried to get as many crotch shots as possible for my friend Tracy... He couldn't make it to pride this year.... They were walking though, so they kept turning just as I hit the button on the camera.

Plus, check out ben's groooooovy vintage sunglasses. *laughing out loud* They are a big joke with us...

We found them tarnished in a thrift store for a dollar.... Cleaned em up.... Viola! Instant weirdo.

Of course, my Dollar Tree glasses aren't much better.

He was sexy!

Parade here is happening on the 24th and I already took the day off work so I can go. I've been only once and it was like six years ago, and I really want to go, because it's a huge event here. Toronto is a very gay city.
