For those of you out there that have family members that have cancer, I am now one of you. I am 17 years old and my mom was diagnosed with stage II liver cancer yesterday. I need to know what to expect, how to keep from getting stressed and how to handle everything. I need help. | cloudhugger

All you really can do is support your mom. Keep her spirits high, and be understanding. It's easy to get unreasonable in times like this, or to even get angry, but you have to keep a level head. Understand that she does have a disease that unfortunately doesn't have a cure. There a TON of treatments to help pain, help spreading of cancer, shrinking cancer, or even sending her into remission, but you have to be reasonable.
My mom has had cancer for almost 20 years now. 6 years ago it came back after being in remission for 9 years. It metastasized to her liver, brain, bones, spine, skull, and almost everywhere else in her body. A few months ago she underwent surgery to remove a tumor from her left temporal lobe, and now she just finished radiation on her brain for the remaining tumors. 6 years of metastasized cancer is a good time. My mom is living proof that there are a million and a half things you can do to fight cancer. You just have to have to be reasonable and understanding. The more calm you are, the more calm your surroundings are. Don't be careless, but don't get carried away. yeah so im sure that my life just got a lot more fudgeed. my boyfriend that i trully 150% loved with all my heart just fudging broke up with me. this is all bull crap. nothing ever goes right for me , i through my life away when i was twelve, i spent an entire summe doing drugs and getting drunk off my ass everyday of the week. then i lost my virginity when i was 13 then i got a girlfriend that was totally fudgeed up about a year ago and we broke up three months ago then i got together with allen. the love of my life. but apparently I wasnt fudging his. he didnt give a reason but he said that he needed to talk to me tomrrow then when I asked if he was breaking up with me and told him that I could not deal with all that right now with my mom and all. after i sked him that he said he hadf to go then signed off really quick well I am not talking to him tomorrow cuz i cant have my heart chattered and I am not going to his swim meet that he really wants me to go to tomorrow night. so apparently I cant have a str8 relationship cuz I always fudge it up and I cant have a gay relationship cuz guys cant fudging stand me either. Ive thought from day 1 that this person was a fake... how do u join a web site, and then spill your life in the first thing you post.. I could be wrong though, I am stayin out of this ...prolly richard, or wolf, or... uhh.. bcollins (same as wolf) or uhh | cloudhugger
