A couple weeks ago. I have permanent vote by mail status. They send me the ballot, I fill it out and mail it back.

California wants to make it illegal for stores to provide you with bags. You would have to bring your own for groceries, etc. Is that crazy or what?

That's dumb because what if - you forgot it at home, you picked out more than you have bags for, you don't have any, you stopped in on the way home and all your bags are at home...

Wouldn't it be harder to spot people leaving the store with a bunch of unpaid for things in a cart, when there's also people leaving with a cartful of paid for things with no bags?

Yes, pretty sensitive to odd noises or smells at home, or when a cat is sick or missing. Yes, one finds his way into my bedroom closet and can't get back out. Has spent a day or two in there on occasion. I notice when one hasn't been seen in awhile or isn't in their usual spot, doesn't show up for dinner, etc.

A: As a non-driver, frequently. I catch one bus every workday (but walk home) and use public transport for almost all my (non-walking) travel. Have a train journey to and from Liverpool coming up soon and a coach trip to London next month.
