This was a line from a movie I just watched. I think it appealed to me in the way it was a question about a question (meta-question?).

But, after I made it, I considered what it would be like to actually answer it and it seemed overly negative and unlikely to get a good response.

The character in the movie was using it as litmus test of failure. He never actually asked it but used it as an example.

I think this can be a problem for me. I sometimes like the form of a question without realizing the actual effect it has (e.g. it's hard or annoying to answer even if it seems kind of cool to look at things that way).

I would have been confused by the question, but I really like it with the explanation from your comment.

It might not always be about success or failure. Some find it awkward to explain that they don't work, and why they don't work. I stay home with the kids - but it seems the question is more about work. It's a weird question to answer when you don't work, but not necessarily because you wish you did.

I find the questin extremely awkward if I know I am talking to someone whom doesn't
get' what I do. I suppose that would be the case with anyone..?

What do you do, how do you do it, why do you do it, where are you doing it at, and when do you do it the most?

And who do you do it with?
