you're right about Starship Titanic - Douglas Adams did write an introduction; I did a quick scan on Amazon for his books and Starship Titanic turned up but I didn't look closely enough

bcollins/Biggles -- point taken. Changed to "is". And thanks for clearing up the jargon.

Supplicant -- I didn't know about Dr. Snuggles. Weird. And I can't believe I forgot the Liff books. I added all that (and noted cowriters), and also threw in the Young Zaphod story. And I took out the "AD", although I'm curious about who "we" are when you say "we don't use [it] anymore". Everyone I know still uses AD when called to.

Spidertea -- it's a shame you'd be petty enough to give an arbitrary bad rating to a survey meant as a memorial to a well-liked writer. Hope people are more respectful toward you when you die.

I agree with Biggles. Just because an author is dead does not mean we will stop reading his/her books. It should be-What is

Why "What was"? Having something as a favourite doesn't become past tense just because the creator died!

SC - wees means What Everyone Else Said.

Apparently he also wrote for a TV series called Dr. Snuggles? (according to IMDB).

You forgot The Meaning of Liff and The Deeper Meaning Of Liff. You should probably credit the co-writer of these and of Last Chance To See.

You need to either make it multi-choice or add some kind of "I can't choose between them" option.

"AD 2001" is not really correct as we don't use the term AD anymore: it is now called CE (Common Era), so it should be "Friday, May 11, 2001 CE"... except you don't need it at all, since anyone stupid enough to believe it was BCE (Before Common Era a.k.a. BC) wouldn't be able to operate a computer.

I was going to rate this survey good, but then I read your snippity "how the hell" comment, and decided to rate it bad to match your attitude.

Mamma -- link provided.
jkiehart -- date of death provided.
Hare/Pers/bcollins -- not all of us know what your acronyms mean.
kate/Maarten -- episode names provided.
romkey -- Terry Jones wrote the Starship Titanic book. Douglas Adams made the game.

Everyone -- honestly, how the hell do so many abjectly crappy surveys get past you people?

Agree with Romkey and Maarten. It should be Friday, April 11, 2001. And I would like to know which Monty Python episode he was involved in as well. Which Dr. Who did he write for?

I like the survey; just two things - first, I think there was a book version of Starship Titanic as well; second, I think it would be very helpful for you to give the date when you say "Friday" - there'll be a lot of Fridays after this survey passes qual
