But an other option would be nice for those of us who don't live anywhere near an amusement park or haven't been to one in years.

Cool. If me/you/someone else here could find out exactly what that ride is dubbed(the go back and forth...) then I would put it down. Until then, great.

What about haunted houses? And what about the rides that just go back and forth and you get higher and higher until you make a circle?
