| phi | old | posted 4-Apr-2000 11:49am "Other": glo-tape, blue-tape, drafting tape, gaffers' tape, tunnel tape, reflective tape, label tape, plumbers' tape, correcting tape, ... I don't suggest you add all of these.Natsim: Duct tape and gaffers' tape are not, at least in the US, the same thing at all. Duct tape has adhesive that won't come off when exposed to heat. Gaffers' tape has adhesive that will come off without leaving a residue. They both commonly come on large rolls in 2"/5cm widths, but that is about where the similarity ends. |
| natsim | old | posted 4-Apr-2000 10:58am Duct tape is not always silver, so that's not a great explanation. Maybe mention that it's reinforced heavy duty tape? I know that Duct tape is called Gaffer Tape in Australia, so it might help to put that in. |
