If you were standing in line in a public place, witnessing a man verbally brutalize an employee there, would you intervene?

Back to Survey

The public place could be a bank, a supermarket or anywhere you might find yourself in this setting.
It is apparent there are no managers to be accessed, and if there are other workers in your scenario, they appear only to be even more frightened by the belligerent man. The young employee he is verbally hashing at is only crying - but he is relentless.
Would you step in at all?

Hate to have to start over with this boring survey, but I'm heeding the constructive criticism that too many answers are a turn-off. So I cut down on the dialogue a bit. (I happen to agree, since I saw my own surveys that had so much to think about. Yuck!)

Well, Zang, I felt if I was too specific, people would say, "What if I never visited a bank?" or "What if my bank only has nice customers?" etc. I left it broad for this reason, if that's understandable.

You're all right. I had that word in mind and somehow typed "interfere", haha!

Yeah, intervene sounds better.

Close enough, although Kaleb has a good suggestion and I think this would work better if you described a very specific event in detail rather than the somewhat vague description you have...

I think kaleb is correct. "intervene" would be the more appropriate word.
