Western music has more of a Whahh, Whah, Whah, Whah thing to it. Country music is definatly different. Thank you for the input, however.

I wouldn't bother you about it now, namely because I think the length of the existing list might turn away participation as it is, but - SINCE I was known as quite the "Doctor Of Rock" in the eighties...this is just a little trivia FYI:
Here in the US, Thrash Rock, Speed Metal, Slash Rock, Heavy Metal, Glam Rock, Hard Rock, Southern Rock, Rock, Soft Rock, and Mellow were each their own category.

Here's the nitpicking:
I agree with the statement someone made here about Country/Western being one. If anything it's abbreviated to "Country", but never have I heard of just "Western" music.

Speed Metal and Ska are types of music- but if they don't bring anything to mind for you than please just say "don't know". Does anyone have any suggestions for other musical genres? I have added Lounge and Seasonal. Thank you for the correction on Bluegrass as well.

What in the Hell is speed metal and ska? I have never even heard of these terms and I believe Country/Western is generally considered to be the same category.
