| Attyatlaw | posted 5-Feb-2000 1:13am Tim Meadows is not funny to me and never has been. I think the others listed have all done something funny at one time or another but Tim Meadows has never made me laugh. |
| Maarten | posted 5-Feb-2000 2:01am I don't watch SNL as it's not on tv here. I do however know some of these people and of those I don't like Adam Sandler and Chris Rock. |
| they | posted 5-Feb-2000 11:03am Most of these. I love Norm Mcdonald, David Spade, Bill Murray, Steve Martin, and Chris Kattan. The worst ones of all of these are Mike Meyers, Martin Short, Dana Carvey, and Adam Sandler. |
| Enheduanna | posted 5-Feb-2000 11:59am Unfortunately, I don't know the names of pretty much any of the current members, because I find them all very un-funny and have never bothered to find out who they are, since I don't watch it...it gets circular here. I used to think Adam Sandler was funny (back when he used to be kind of funny) but now I find him annoying. I never found Chris Farley funny. |
| Oscar | posted 5-Feb-2000 12:15pm Adam Sandler adn Eddie Murphy |
| they | posted 5-Feb-2000 12:20pm Eddie Murphy's old stand up is hilarious. |
| mandy | posted 5-Feb-2000 5:42pm I don't care. |
| Frostbrand | posted 5-Feb-2000 10:07pm The current cast members are usually funny when they're doing stuff outside of SNL, but when they are on SNL, they just suck. Proof that what I've said all along is ture. The new batch of writers suck. |
| SueBee | posted 6-Feb-2000 1:53am Of the ones I've seen on SNL, I think they are all funny in at least certain skits. I don't like Norm McDonald's new show, but I thought he was pretty funny doing the news on SNL. A lot of these I don't even know. I haven't watched the show much in the last 19 years or so. they - Oh no, it's horrible! Such foul language! |
| they | posted 6-Feb-2000 11:02am You don't go no icecream!! Cuz your daddy's on welfare!! |
| SueBee | posted 6-Feb-2000 1:02pm I remember the thing about his mother or aunt throwing shoes at him being really funny. |
| mandy | posted 6-Feb-2000 2:48pm OH...the noise of that shoe flying across the room. |
| Sinatra | posted 6-Feb-2000 6:44pm .....and then the big brown shark came..........do you know what that is from? |
| Enheduanna | posted 6-Feb-2000 6:59pm taking a bath! |
| they | posted 6-Feb-2000 8:29pm lol |
| supplicant | posted 7-Feb-2000 7:44am Raw and Delirious are probably the two funniest American stand-up videos I've seen. |
| cpierson | posted 7-Feb-2000 9:38am Someone thinks Phil Hartman wasn't funny? Who's the heretic? |
| Renee | posted 7-Feb-2000 10:34am i think they're all funny, i chose Phil Hartman, Dennis Miller and Tim Meadows as the LEAST funny... where was the "they are all incredibly funny, I wet myself every time I watch them" option. |
| ILJ | posted 7-Feb-2000 1:54pm The author left almost every non-funny cast member (and a few funny ones) off the list, so I'm afraid I didn't pick many. |
| anonymous | posted 7-Feb-2000 5:31pm ILJ: I think this is a fine selection.... |
| Pomeranian | posted 7-Feb-2000 5:43pm cpierson: I agree, Phil Hartman was the best of the best. |
| drdt | posted 7-Feb-2000 7:11pm There are three categories: funny, not funny, and don't know by name. |
| drdt | posted 7-Feb-2000 7:12pm Phil Hartman couldn't hold a candle to Rush Limbaugh, though. |
| mandy | posted 7-Feb-2000 8:20pm |
| seven | posted 7-Feb-2000 9:53pm Writers are funny. Actors are just people working |
| bill | posted 7-Feb-2000 11:29pm they are all funny, but the show still sucks now (not that I ever watch it anymore) |
| ILJ | posted 8-Feb-2000 9:11am anon#1: I suppose it's fine, but not great. It almost completely ignores two whole casts. I guess the list would have been too long had it included Garrett Morris, Harry Shearer, Denny Dillon, Gilbert Gottfried, Gail Matthius, Ann Risley, Charles Rocket, Joe Piscopo, Tony Rosato, Robin Duke, Tim Kazurinsky, Christine Ebersole, Mary Gross, Brad Hall, Gary Kroeger, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jim Belushi, Billy Crystal, Christopher Guest, Rich Hall, Pamela Stephenson, Joan Cusack, Robert Downey, Jr., Anthony Michael Hall, Randy Quaid, Terry Sweeney, Danitra Vance, Nora Dunn, Victoria Jackson, Melanie Hutsell, Ellen Cleghorne, Michael McKean, Janeane Garofalo, Chris Elliott, Morwenna Banks, Mark McKinney, David Koechner, Nancy Walls, Tracy Morgan, Jimmy Fallon, Chris Parnell, and Horatio Sanz... |
| SueBee | posted 12-Feb-2000 2:26pm Wow, did those folks all get their start on SNL? I had no idea. |
| ILJ | posted 14-Feb-2000 9:41am SueBee: No, a number of them were already established before SNL. I believe they would be Harry Shearer, Gilbert Gottfried (not sure about him), Jim Belushi, Billy Crystal, Christopher Guest, Joan Cusack, Robert Downey, Jr., Anthony Michael Hall, Randy Quaid, Michael McKean, Janeane Garofalo, Chris Elliott, and Mark McKinney. |
| eris | posted 15-Feb-2000 4:13pm Well, I missed a bunch of these by not watching for years, so I only marked the ones I find really un-funny. |
| Eeah | posted 4-Mar-2000 6:07pm The new people that I don't know the names of. Those stupid cheer leading routines, and that stupid movie they just came out with.. These people can't act. These people aren't funny. What happened to talent? |
| mary | posted 6-Mar-2000 5:25pm I dig SNL, my s/o thinks I am obsessed. Chevy Chase is the one I don't find funny. |
| eloradanan | posted 31-May-2006 11:57pm I've watched Saturday Night Live from time to time, but I haven't heard of some of these cast members. |
