I've never tipped in my life! We don't tip here in NZ - I really don't understand it. People work, they get paid. Customers pay for what they order. That's it. So uncomplicated! |

I'm trying to do more surveys ... but my creative juices have all dried up! I've never been creative - I'm a square/logical/boring/list-making/detailed gal, a bit too serious for some people's liking! I often want to make a funny comment about a survey, but can never think of anything witty to say
BTW Cloudhugger, I think you are an awesome survey creator!! You are so creative, I really enjoy your surveys!
So I'm with CH - come on SCers, lets get some fun surveys going ... |

I had a similar problem a while back - I'd had a flat tyre previously, which I changed. A while later, I was driving and turned to the right, and heard a scraping noise - freaked the heck outta me!
Anyway, I had a repairman check it out. Turned out that the corner part of the archway over the wheel ( I have no idea what its called!) had bent in, and was rubbing on the tyre when I turned the wheel.
Funny story - my friend and I had made a last minute decision to travel home late. We were driving up the Auckland Motorway at 2:30 in the morning when the tyre blew out. While trying to change it (we were both in dresses and heels so probably looked pretty corny trying to change that thing!) some guys stopped to help us. Tyre was changed, and we continued on our way, until I made a turn and heard the scraping noise. We ambled up the motorway until we came to an emergency phone, and called for a repairman. The guy was a solid, muscly, big dude. After telling him about the tyre blowing out, he peered underneath the car and made some grunting noises. He then walked back to his truck to grab something. He returned, walking toward the two of us girls, with a massive steel bar. 2:30am, on an isolated stretch of road, two clueless girls, and a massive guy walking toward them with a huge steel bar. Hmm.
He leaned down, whacked the bent corner back into place, and it was sorted |
