Thank you Kate!

Birthdays always put me in a slight funk, no matter what I do, but this message from you really brightened my day! It was a good birthday, and I've felt very loved, thanks in part to you.

Thanks so much! * love *

Kate-I just started it today, and my jaw was already to the ground by chapter two! I won't say anymore... * winking raspberry *

What a speed reader you are!

I've always loved how you can express exactly what I'm feeling in such a clear way. * yes *

Are you familiar with anyone who is currently in the service? Do any of them actually *want* to be abroad, away from their families, many times with no idea when they will get to return home?

My boyfriend was in Kuwait for something like nine months, and although this scope is very narrow, you can bet that neither he nor anyone in his unit WANTED to be there instead of at home. Same as you and me.

This refers to this, by the way: "Support the troops -- bring them home." Supporting people who wish to fight entails supporting their fight; and if that fight is opposed, those waging it are also opposed.

Oh sweet girl. Glad to see you around again. It sounds to me like the past year of our two lives have been unfortunately similar. There's so much love for you here, thanks for trusting us enough to reach out.

Email me anytime, we'll compare notes and strategies! * smile *

I support our troops, meaning that my heart goes out to all of them and their families. I feel for what they're going through, being far from home, often in dangerous situations. This is totally separate from my thoughts about this war. I don't see how that's so impossible.

Oh Irene!

I've been away, but I'm so absolutely sorry to hear this sad news. I love you, lady, and whether I've said so or not, the little I know about your relationship with Ben has been an inspiration to me.

You and your family are in my thoughts.

 * love *
