Here's the scenario:
Say I've posted 8 comments on a survey, and UserX wants to reply to my 5th comment. If UserX chooses the wrong comment in the drop-down list (say, number 6 instead of number 5), when I check for replies I'll get a page showing my comment #6 and UserX's reply to comment #5.
Is there any way to have the system put some sort of counter on each comment posted by a user (including replies to other users) so it will be easier to tell which comment in the drop-down list to choose to reply to a specific comment?
Maybe something like "nihon (1)", "nihon (2)", etc. |

Then it shouldn't be noted in a public place like the Stats page. |

Yes, but that was a listing for just the most prolofic creators. I'm interested in seeing if there's a connection between number of surveys created and overall rating. I just think that would be interesting. | nihon

Just for interest's sake, how about adding another column to the right side of the Best Survey Creators table: Total # of Surveys Created.
I think it would be interesting to see how prolofic the best creators are. |

Okay. I'll let you know if it causes any more problems. Thanks. | nihon

Yes, I'm on a Mac, using OS 9. I found a way around the problem, though: Just keep everything in the same paragraph in the text box while entering the text, and insert
anywhere I want a new paragraph.
The strange thing: everything works fine here and when entering comments. I only have the problem when submitting surveys, and it's only been in the last month or so. | nihon

Bill:
When entering text for the explanation when creating a new survey, the system used to interpret a hard return in the text entry box as a
. Now it just ignores them.
Also, if I type in a
, the next time I edit the explanation text the system inserts a bunch of hard return lines (three, to be exact) between each paragraph. The system then interprets these as
when I submit the survey.
Any ideas why? |

No, but if it doesn't have a rating of 50% or more it won't be qualified. That's one of the qualifiers:
1. At least 5 "reasonable" votes
2. No "needs work" votes
3. At least a 50% rating.
I think that's it.
The only thing that will automatically delete a survey is 5 "hopelessly flawed" votes.
I have noticed some people voting "HF" simply because they are too lazy to offer good suggestions for improvement. |

There are plenty of plain old computer surveys--asking about what computer you use, memory, etc. Granted there are a lot of internet surveys, but there are some that aren't. |

Are there problems with the "Catch Up" feature? It never seems to work for me. (I'm assuming that using it will make the system think you've viewed all the surveys in that particular list (What's New, in my case), and then only show you new comments.) |
