Vesper,

I was proposing to disable HTML tags users were entering into their comments as an OPTION on a PER USER basis.

If you are confused on why I would want such a feature, I'll post a more detailed explaination.

Most of the time I can deal with all the 'cute' HTML tag people like to put into their comments - FONT SiZE=+{1,2,3}, MARQUEE, IMG SRC=..., etc.

Every so often it gets annoying for me -- either I've seen it used too much in a short period or I'm just in a bad mood. How about an option in the customize page to allow or not allow HTML tags to pass through when viewing comments?

It might be nice to select which sets of tags to allow through. There could be three levels:

Plain - No HTML passed at all
Basic - simple tags like <I> and <B> along with various & characters.
Full - Allow all tags through

How does that sound?

Bill,

I've seen this twice now. When a qualifying user adopts an anonymous survey for what ever reason, any qualification comments by the user changes from their user name to *survey creator* This reveals who the new owner is and defeats any attempts at keeping the survey creator anonymous during the qualification phase.

What should happen is the name change (user name to *survey creator*) should not occur for any previously existing comments. This would keep the anonymity of the adopting user.
