Actually, that's something else... that prevents double posts with more of a "brute force" method that can be wrong. Sometimes, people want to make the same post twice. Eventually, I may get rid of that.

It's hard to see the kind of thing I was talking about... what I fixed... because it's fixed now, so it doesn't happen. But, it was more about clicking the submit button twice (or more) very fast. Or, similarly, using the return button while focus is on submit...

But, yeah, anyway, it should be better and so far it looks like it isn't hurting anyones, so yay.

I made a change to surveys in qualification. They will now have "disabled" form input elements (for the survey answers).

This usually manifests as "grayed out" buttons, checkboxes, and pop-ups which do not work (you can't click them).

I figured this might be a good idea since sometimes when we see a survey in qual we forget that it's qual and answer it instead of qualifying the survey. The grayed-out elements should help provide a clue that the survey isn't to be answered but qualified.

As always, let me know if this causes and trouble or if you hate it or something like that.

I just made a change that uses JavaScript to prevent double postings.

It's possible it will have some bad side-effect. So, I figured I'd mention it in case one of you has a problem.

What it does is turn off a submit button after it's used the first time. So, it can't be used repeatedly for the same post. This could happen if you double clicked on the submit for a comment or something like that.

Yeah, it's just harder for the database to answer the question because there are a lot more inactive surveys to check for new comments on.

If you think about it, it has to look at each inactive survey (~25,000) and see if there are new comments from your point of view on each one.

In contrast, there are only 352 active surveys. So, checking for new comments on active surveys is like 100 times less work.
