I suppose too the concept of adding to someone's work would matter to the original creator depending on the type of work also. From the sampling of other stuff I've read on hypertales almost all of it I would say is fiction, so no 'major' harm can come if someone adds a chapter and changes the direction of the story.

My story I'm slowlllly working on is 100% actual life experience so I'd likely not want anyone editing or adding to it.

As I think you said, editing should be limited to spelling and grammar corrections.

Thanks Brian. I can think of very few reasons to HF a survey, generally because they aren't a survey in the first place, are too messed up to fix, and not much else. I'd never HF a survey because I didn't like the subject, it had obscene language, etc. like others do. that's getting too close to censorship for my taste.

I'd have a hard time fighting my wife for the remote, don't stay up past 10-1030 usually and work all night on weekends. but thanks for the info.

A word of advice Rooster person, the people here are long-time friends. Suspicion is immediate if you're new here and right away start mentioning a product and another website. Maybe you have no interest in this thing and your motives are innocent, but your return attack on the members here will get you nowhere except to be shown the door.

Maybe you should start over, explain who you are and go from there. Or just go.

Sorry, not trying to rag on you Bill. You're trying to improve things I know. Just hurry up! Some days it's worse than others reading all the nitpicks and needs work stuff that I think is a little overboard. Hate to think any of this is discouraging new people from hangin' out here.

I may be wrong, but any comment I made about his paranoia I think was related to the subject of sci-fi, not his stories being messed with. I also said I don't think anyone appreciates others adding to or editing their stories on hypertales which is why the site might not be successful. I don't disagree that Brian should have been angry about the messing with his stuff. Anyone would be upset.

Geez, getting sick of combative situations.. Anyone like me who loves Fall (autumn) more than any other season? I love the cooler days and evenings, the falling leaves, changing of colors.
Love the prospect of rain finally after 6 months of sunshine (California is where I am), seeing pumpkins in the stores and in the farm fields (although it's only recent that I've seen these new white ones).

And best of all, Halloween is coming. My favorite day of the whole year. Sorry the whole world can't enjoy it. A day to step out of your ordinary life and become whoever you want to be. Being in costume is such fun, too bad where I work now no one is brave enough to wear costumes. I've done so at other places and felt foolish. I guess as the manager of an engineering department it wasn't cool to come in wearing green nail polish, a pink sport coat, black shirt, cowboy boots and hair sprayed with green hairspray. Oh well. For Halloween night I will stick to last year's costume, who I do best - Michael Myers (Halloween movie series). I save on candy being him. Most kids and teenage girls are too scared to get anywhere near me. Halloween is very busy on my street. I can't go in the house from around 6:30 until almost 9 pm. Continuous trick-or-treaters. Probably have 400 every year. I love it.

My cop hobby is not from t.v., mainly from surfing internet sites dealing with criminal psychology, serial killers, etc. I don't think I've ever seen Law and Order. Uh oh, *ducks to avoid being hit*.

Your views of capital punishment would only come into play if you were up for a trial with special circumstances, with the death penalty as an option. Regular murder doesn't get you death generally. Unless you kill a cop, a little kid or a few other things. The one I was on the guy got 15 to life, with possibility of parole after 7. He should be out by now, that is if he survived prison.

Yeah, I agree with you. Does't say much for humans does it? We haven't progressed from the old "tribal mentality" have we?

Guess my main point about SC is that it should be more "neutral", whatever that means.
