I have a friend who applied for a job driving for the company I work for. She was on a trip to New Jerkski and the guy she drove for let her take the truck to a shop for repair. After the truck was repaired, the owner of the truck wanted her to take the truck without paying for the work, when she refused to take the truck without paying the shop, the owner of the truck left her abandoned in Elizabeth New Jerkski. I knew she was going to hire on with my company, Barbara called me and told me the butt-hole she was driving for abandoned her in New Jerkski with no money and no way to home to Ohio.
I loaded out of Saint Albans Vermont on Wednesday the 14th. Barbara called me and told me she was stuck in New Jerkski and I flew her to Albany New York to meet me and I picked her up to take her to Iowa to start her new Job with my company. We went to Kimper Kentucky, delivered on Friday, then loaded out on Rincon Georgia going to Denver Colorado, then loaded out of Golden Colorado going to Spencer Iowa. Now we're spending another weekend together at a motel in Estherville Iowa. On Monday she will get her own truck and go for her drug test, I'll have some work done on my truck at the company shop and head out, loading out of Le Mars Iowa going to Lewiston Maine. | Otter

I used to back up turnpike doubles back in the eighties and early nineties, B Trains can be backed up fairly easy because they don't use a dolly but have a fifth wheel mounted on the back of the lead trailer. I never pulled "Pups" or short doubles, only two 45 &48 foot trailers like they use on the Massachusetts Turnpike and New York Thruway. |

We have some of that crap here in Vermont too, my YL works a store gas station, I told her to keep her weapon on her person, if someone tries to rob her to make sure she sees a weapon, then shoot 3 rounds at the centre of mass. |

I had Quallcom in 1988 with Monson, I remember backing out of a street in Philthadelphia with a GMC General with armstrong steering. that was a treat. | Otter

I live in a bad area for work, most companies tell me they don't hire from my area or they can't get me home. I will never again work for a company where I'm a number on the board. I worked for Monson out of Monmouth Il. in the mid eighties. I hated working for them, I hated calling dispatch and talking to a dispatcher who didn't know who I was. I hated them "relaying" my loads to other drivers and letting the rookies run all the miles off a load while I had to pick up and deliver them in the city. It's no wonder they went out of business, they didn't know how to run a trucking company.
I worked pulling turnpike doubles before I went to work for Monson, Monson tried to run turnpike doubles, they made the drivers pick up and deliver their loads and all the drivers who were qualified to pull doubles quit after a very short time because they wouldn't put up with the bullcrap. | Otter

I'm home again, for a day, Friday morning I have to go load to go to Grand Rapids MI. to deliver Monday morning. It looks like I will not be changing jobs, and I'll stay with this company. | Otter

I don't chain up, never have in over thirty years. I don't usually go west in winter, and I don't carry chains. When it's time to chain up, it's time to go to bed. | Otter

Still at home, just finished sucking the pussy hair out of the truck. I had to suck out the carpet, then I scrubbed the rubber floor mat with hot water and Pine sol and sucked it out with the shop vac. After a year and a half I forgot the carpet and floor were black. I've got enough pussy hair to cover 3 cats.
Now I'm waiting for a telephone call to get pick up information on the next load. This should be the second half of my last trip with this company, I load out of Taunton Massachusetts and go to Pennsylvania, then see what they get me going back to Iowa. Then I turn in the truck and move into another. | Otter

Still at home, I'm leaving kitty home this time, as I plan on moving out of this truck and starting a new job when I get back to Iowa. |
