| darkshadowsseeker | posted 23-Sep-2001 1:31am Life in prison. I don't think sex offenders can be cured, especially those who are repeat offenders. |
| darkshadowsseeker | posted 23-Sep-2001 2:00pm I just read the most horrifying story of rape at abcnews.com on Sept.23, 2001. A man was arrested and confessed to kidnapping and raping a 9 month old baby girl and then attempted to conceal her body by piling leaves and branches over her body. He was a friend of the child's family and was staying the night at their house when he took the child from her crib and committed these heinous crimes. He was questioned and failed a polygraph test (lie detector) and told the police how to find the child's body. The police expected to find the child dead, but she was still alive, covered with insect bites and dehydrated. He has been charged with kidnapping, rape and attempted murder. If he goes to prison, he won't last long as persons who commit crimes against children are considered the lowest of the low in prison! |

| southernyankee | posted 25-Sep-2001 11:32pm When someone does such a horrific act, because they are fudgeed up, they should be severly punished, but while they are serving their sentence, they should be getting rehalibated so it doesnt happen again. |
| anonymous | posted 3-Oct-2001 1:42pm My sister was raped and I was the only person she told about it so I now what an effect it has on people having helped my sister through it. Shortly after the rape, which took place down a canal bank, the guy disappeared from our town and was found dead in the same canal 4 weeks later. Whoever he pissed off, I don't care, I feel he got what was coming to him and my sister has some sense of closure. Going to the police could not have given her that. |
