Funny you should say that! On one hand you say you can't stand religious people and yet you never fail to make any reference to religions or some Church; which leads me to believe that you follow a Church (religiously or spiritually - makes no difference to me...)

All are welcomed here and unlike the Pentecostal , Baptist and Evangelicans who throw everybody out the front door if they cannot except people for being who they are? and this is very , very wrong! to judge and condemn everybody and throw them out the front door this is not right. Churches should be open to people from all walks of life gay, lesbian , homosexual, bisexual , transgendered , alcoholics, drug addicts , murderers we at the Episcopal Church believe much differently then the Evangelicals and Pentecostals who are so busy sticking their nose where it does not belong? I am a spiritual person not religious

The thing is, that's their belief and their interpretation of the bible. That's why there are so many different religions, because different people have different standards and a different set of beliefs regarding what it right and wrong. You don't go to the ones whose beliefs differ from yours. I don't believe all religions should be open to everyone. If they were, there would be no need for different denominations, would there? If the church of Purple Angels didn't believe you should be wearing the color green, they should be able to kick all green wearers out. Likewise if a church believes being gay, transgendered, drug user, or whatever is wrong, it's their choice not to accept that. If you found a church that's right for you, you don't really need to worry about ones that aren't. Were they that mean to you that it still leaves you bitter, long after the fact?
That being said, I think it is awful rude of them to kick anyone out. They should be couselling people like drug addicts and alcoholics. The baptists I've run across say "Love the sinner, hate the sin"

I don't believe in any fudging church! They're all man-made and full of prejudice. I don't even know the difference between Anglican, Episcopal, Evangical, Pentecostal or Baptist. I only learned of the differences between Catholics and Protestants when I was an adult by some remark an older man made to me. Until then, I didn't even know the conflict existed but now I understand it as I have read much about the English and Irish histories... I have many versions of the Bible, Catholic, Mormon, Baptist and Jehovah. That's what turns me off of religion - it all depends on who preaches best and if you look at each version of the Bible; some things are deleted, misinterpreted or underlined to suit the preacher's need! All you need to start a religion is a good salesman! Then, if you look back in history, you can see that the root of most conflicts was religion and still is... Are we not of the same planet? Are we not of the same God, Buddha, Yahweh, Allah? Why would Jews or Jehovah's Witnesses be the chosen? How the hell can they all be right? Someone's got to be wrong.... I think they're all wrong.

If the Baptists , Pentecostals and Evangelicals find something they do not like about you, they will judge you , and they will condemn you and throw you right out the door after confronting you and getting real nasty and getting in your face. And yes this is very very wrong to single out people who come to your Church and finding fault with them and finding fault with most everybody. I do not understand how the Baptist can say that Love the sinner and hate the sin" they hate people who will not conform to their rotten stinking filthy standards and this sucks. And all Pentecostals and Evangelicals are just like the Baptist they kiss each other's butts and then we wonder why so many different Religions in this world and you can see why? The Episcopal Church stands alone with the Catholic Church and we are nothing like the Baptist and Evangelicals no we are not" Our doors are open to all of society and we do not judge and condemn people who come thru our doors? The Episcopal Churches are much like the Catholic Church in a way, except we do not have a Pope like the Catholic Church does, The Episcopal Church is made up with Bishops and Deacons and our Church looks like the Catholic Church set up the same way. I have heard from my friends bad things about the Catholic Church from the way, that the Catholic Church treats women? And you probably have heard horror stories about Catholic Priests who have sexually mollested young boy's? yes this is true and there have been a number of victims who have been sexually abused in the Catholic Church and some have been sued. We are in no way" like the Baptist the Pentecostals and Evangelicals no way on this earth" For they believe that drinking wine or beer is sin sin , or what you do in your own bathroom is sin to them and this is their vocabulary and what they preach on and they stay with one subject only, and they will take this and use it against you to judge and condemn. But the Episcopal Church is open to all of society come dressed as you are, we do not even use bibles like the Baptist do? We listen to a sermon and Communion the choice is yours whether or not to participate? Some people choose not to and that is ok and it is your choice , and not my choice?

I'm sorry sweetly99, all churches are bullcrap to me but I know that some people really need them for spiritual guidance - I just don't trust any man or woman that preaches anything. They're just human and they don't have a "private line" with God anymore than I do. I'm connected and I don't need any man-made church for that...

No I should not be judging them, they are the ones that are starting a holy war with the Episcopal and Catholic Churches they are the hell raisers , and they are right and we are wrong, and they go around with their bibles like the Jehovo's Witnesses and knock on doors trying to convert somebody and they are so judgmental towards people
