When I read The Old Man and the Sea I didn't like it much; but, it is on my list of all time favorites now. I guess I had to be the fisherman (metaphorically) to understand the challenge and appreciate the satisfaction. C.S. Lewis is a favorite author. Got tired of Stephen King about 10 years ago. Enjoyed all the Hobbit stories (read them about 30 years ago), but I liked the movies better than the books...I had a hard time reading Elvish. I read some Anne Rice, she's ok, not great. An all time favorite is Atlas Shrugged. And, I still like to read Winnie the Pooh. Harry Potter series is ok. Still like Shakespeare, still hate Dickens.

I do read books but i don't have a favorite ONE. I love Kurt Vonnegut, my favorite work of his being Cats Cradle by far. I like the Hickhiker's Trilogy by Douglas Adams. Pretty much i love all modern fantasy's with satirical wit.

I don't have a favorite. If the story interests me or if I've heard about it , I'll read it. Why have favorites?

I don't really have a favorite, but I did enjoy: The Hobbit, The Rainmaker and The Brethren by John Grisham, The Fellowship of the Ring, Are You There God It's Me Margaret, The Memoirs of Cleopatra, and Han Solo's Revenge. I don't get a chance to read much nowadays. Although I could logoff now and read.

Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. Lo. Lee. Ta.

Or A Portrait Of The Artist As A Young Man.
