Oh... Now I'm feeling very sorry for you if you're at the point where doctors are prescribing medication for your problem. That's bad! The worst I ever suffered from acid reflux was when I was pregnant for our son. By the end of the 8th month, I was in tears whenever I ingested anything! Once, stupidly, I ate ginger snaps - to this day, I can't eat them for fear of the pain!!
It's a real problem, I know. My friend has had problems with digestion for almost as long as I've known him (24 years) and his wife swears that Maloxx cured him. It's true that he doesn't suffer from acid reflux anymore but I don't know that Maloxx actually cured him. It's worth a try!!
Back in '96, when not too many people where "surfing", an acquaintance of mine told me of his bleeding ulcers and how he almost died from internal bleeding at 25 yrs of age. He said that he suffered from bleeding ulcers fro most of his life. I had seen (ten years prior) a documentary about an Australian doctor that prescribed antibiotics and bismuth to ulcer sufferers and cured them. He believed that ulcers were caused by a bacterium. At that time, no one believed that anything could live in such an acid environment as a stomach. He believe in his cure so much that he cultured the bacteria he found, ingested it, created his own ulcers and then cured himself with his treatment. It worked. I told him about it and researched as much as was available, at the time, on the net, for him to bring to his doctor. Surprisingly enough, his doctor had not heard of this cure and was willing to try it - my friend was cured. If this cure for ulcers was available - why was it not advertised before? Too much money involved! Since then, the word has been out and the makers of ulcer relief products have not been raking "it" in anymore! They would have preferred that the Australian doctor's cure be hushed up longer... $$$

Ahh, the spinach cups! So easy to make, so here's the recipe:
6 ounces fresh spinach, sauteed drained, chopped and squeezed dry
4 large eggs
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/4 Salsa, fresh or store-bought
1/4 grated Monterey jack cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Divide spinach equally among 4 buttered or sprayed custard cups. Press the spinach into the cups and make an indentation into the center of each. Break an egg into each indentation. Season with salt and pepper. Top each egg with one tablespoon salsa and 1 tablespoon cheese. Place custard cups in a baking dish and fill dish with hot water one third of the way up the sides of the cups. Bake until whites are set and the yolks are firm, about 30 minutes.
Taa-daa! If you make them, I hope you enjoy! * grin *

well, chocolate has over a thousand chemicals in it. You'd have to pretty much come up with another thousand chmicals that have the exact polar oppiste effect of each other. That means all the stimulants and depresants, and all of that. Not to mention the cominbed effect has to match, and who knows what combinations of chemicals can do what.

It aint lemon, just because sweet and sour arent nessarily opposites. Not to mention, not all cholcolates are sweet. Its not coffee or tea, duh, because they're in fact similar. In fact so similar that the anti-coffee pretty much can pass for an anti-chocolate.

Allthough whatever that is, I am not sharing!!!

And that would be beer.

My nephews is quite a bit worce Im shure he hates chocolate because it bothers him and he lives mainly on a liquid diet. If he dont get his medicine he gets constant dry heaves, when he was a baby he had nurses takeing care of him and this one nurses wasnt giveing him his medicne and he was he was throwing up hard when he tried to eat and he had constant dry heaves, we took him to the hospital and the dr. told us the nurse wasnt giveing his medicne. My sister fired that nurse. He had 24 hr nurseing because he was a high risk for SIDS, when he got older he didnt need a nurse. Hes on medicade because hes mentaly handicaped from fragialX syndrome. Medicade decited he should be on a cheaper medicne zanax it didnt work for 2 weeks he was on that medicne couldnt keep anything down and had the dry heaves. the pharmisist was calling everyone he can think of and so was his dr hear in town and then his dr. got so mad that he got ahold of the head of Missouri medicade, and they changed his medicne back to previcid. Medicade at first was going to have him scoped every 6 months just to see that his stomich isnt going to get better. It would have cost medicade several thousand dollars more and cause my nephew unessary suffering from the scope. his dr. said hes old enough that hes not going to out grow it.

My nephew is a tough kid he fought for his life when he was born, and in the year 2000 he fought cancer and won. Fragial X syndrome is a genetic 2 of my sisters and I were found to be carriers we can pass it on to boys but not likely to girls. It usualy eather causes autisim or hyperactivity depending on where the X cronisome is broken and how many are broken depends on how bad and how it will effect the person. My son has autisim. The nephew that has acid reflux was born with Pieare Robin Syndrome thats where the jaw is set back too far it cuts off breathing so he had a treak for 2 years fortunitly his jaw grew out on its own which was very painful. Had it not grew out on its own they would have attached metal bars on the outside of both sides of his jaw and slowly turn the screw in the bar and force the jaw out. It would have been more painfull. His little brother had some traits of autisim he died from a seziure in 2000 he was 4 years old. She has 2 other boys who are normal. My other sister has 2 boys that have it theyre hyper. The older one has life threatening seziures but hes 5 yrs old when he turns 6 the seziures wont threaten his life the way I understand it, he has a lot of behavior problems. I have 1 more sister she had 1 girl who doesnt have it but her and her daughter are most likely carriers.

That's a bit rough for all of you; to know that your children are in pain and may possibly die until they grow strong enough to outgrow their disabilities. Is it possible and/or affordable to have the girls tested for the chromosome? Anyway, what difference would it make if they're found to be carriers - when a woman wants a child; nothing will stop her and she will take the chance.

If youre a carrier then you know you have a 50% chance of giveing the child fragial X and the choice is yours. We would have had our kids anyway I think if we had known we were carriers before we had our children, I cant speek for my sisters but I would have had my son anyway. girls can be tested to see if theyre carriers if they want to know. Girls have an advantage over boys when it comes to fragial X because they have 2 x cronesomes(not shure thats spelled right) they usualy turn out to be carriers, but if theres too many x broken then they can get it.
My nephew had a fast growing cancer rabnocarsenoma in his ear hes deaf in that ear but a small price to pay for ones life.
