Would you like to play pass the Kodak digital camera around the world?

Maarten, Dino, Julie & I are posing an idea to pass a "Kodak 1 Use Digital Camera" around the world to all the SC Buddies.

A) I will purchase the camera(s) depending on how many of us participate. I will buy more cameras if needed.

B) The ideal picture would be one of yourself. But, if you'd like you can take one of you & your SO, or you & your family members, your friends, your pets, your countryside, your car, your school, whatever you want. But, you only have one shot. So make it a good one.

C) We should have the camera start off in the United States (on the West Coast) then up to Canada, then sent to the mid western states.
Ending up on the East coast. To be sent on to Europe, then on to Australia.
Then back to Europe( Netherlands) to Maarten so he can up load the pictures to a site for all to see.
(Maarten: I will send you money to develop the camera.)

D) There are only TWO catches.

[1]After you take (ONE)1 picture (depending on how many of us participate) you MUST be willing to "pay the postage" & to wrap up the camera & mail the camera on to the next SC Buddy.

[2]& you will have to trust the person who will be mailing the camera on to you. MEANING: You will have to be willing to trust at least one person on this site to have your snail mail addy. So, if you are feeling a bit reluctant to send your email/snail mail addy to someone perhaps you can trust me to send it to you. One way or another we'll figure out a way to send it to you.

POST NOTE: I've sent a lot of stuff throughout the United States, Europe, South America, Australia & Canada. Depending on where your next SC Buddy lives you will have to foot the postage there. No more than probably $4.00 to $5.00 at most(hopefully)

It'll be so much fun to know that the camera you are using has/will be handled by other SC Buddies around the globe. If you have any thoughts, concerns, questions, input or feedback please let us know.

THAT territory belongs to a higher being! Like for instance I lost a $100.00 one day in a super market. Went looking all around for it & never found it. At the moment I was pissed off with MYSELF for losing it, & knew I still had to go home & tell David about that, then I thought to myself,"Someone who needed that money more than I did.... must have found it." & I began to think good thoughts.....thoughts that perhaps some person who didn't even have half the amount of food in their house to feed their children like I did, must have found it. I felt relived about that. Thinking that God really does move in mysterious ways. I still had to go home & tell David about losing the hundred dollar bill & was prepared for a yelling. It was okay. He just shrugged his shoulders & said something like, "I told you Cleo, that's what happens when you carry your money all folded up in your change pocket, I told you that you'd lose your money that way!" Got more money from him & went back shopping for food. My husband & I are very blessed & so fortunate! Not bragging or anything, just feeling blessed! David's dad owns one of the largest roofing company in Southern California. Called Southern California Roofing Company. When his dad was growing up he was raised in one of the poorest & roughest neighborhoods in Los Angeles. A neighborhood called Watts! He worked his ass off to have what he's accomplished. He's built the last 3 homes that he's lived in, & is a very wealthy man who now owns many properties through out southern California. He does.........not David & I! When his dad's company started making lots of money, he bought each of his 4 children a house. David has a step sister, an adopted sister & he had a brother but, he jumped of a 30 story building in Hawaii. Point is that his dad passed on the wealth by buying all his 4 kids a house. He gives money to an old Italian folks home & other charitable organizations. He travels extensively. He took the whole family (of 12 family member) to Hawaii 3 times. He can afford to do all this. Not David & I. I believe in giving to people. Always have, & that is probably my weakness. I love to share whatever I have with those who have not. My kids are very giving as well!! If I hear that one of my friends are getting married I have a bridal shower, if they are having a baby I throw a baby shower. If any of my SC buddies is having a baby I go shopping for a baby gift, they just got married I buy a wedding gift. Why??? cause I LOVE to give. WHY???????? Cause I have seen children in Mexico begging in the streets. Dirty ragged children, many of them!! My kids have seen that too.....& when we go down there it's not easy for me or my kids to see this. We always give them all our pocket money. If we have food in the car we give them that. So, my problems are so minute compare to others out there. I am thankful for EVERYTHING that I have. & I thank God EVERY night for giving me HEALTHY, happy children, a loving husband who treats me like a queen, a roof over my head to raise my children in, more than enough food in our frigerator to feed my family, a country where I'm free to speak my mind & a reason to worship a GOD that has so richly blessed me & my loved ones. So, as far as getting screwed over........ again & again? It's gona happen! Well, it happens to a lot of people. Not only the good but, the bad as well. There are more important thing in life to worry about than if someone is going to screw me over. Or if someone talks crap on me. Big deal!! People will always talk. & the ones who will dirty your name & all you stand for, are the ones who never had a kind word to say in the first place....& more important, never where your friends to begin with so, why worry about that? I don't lose sleep over things as trivial as that. I just move on. On a sadder note: My 5 year old grandson just passed away in February of this year in a car accident. When you lose a loved one everything else pales in comparison. Not all the crap talking or the screwing me over can ever compare to the more important things in life....Love, Hope, Trust, Kindness, Family & Friends (for me)

But the whole reason for this whole globe trotting camera passing experiment is: 1)It'll be so much fun to know that the camera you are using has/will be handled by other SC Buddies around the globe. 2)The reason for this project is to see if mankind still has the ability to trust one another. The ULTIMATE lesson here is to "TRUST" someone! "ONE SC BUDDY", that's all!!!! "JUST ONE!!" 3)No one is being HIGH pressured to hurry up. That wouldn't be any fun at all! 4)The reward is not the downloading of the pictures (cause anyone can do that!) BUT, the reward is "KNOWING" (just knowing the feeling that someone out there REALLY likes you & puts their trust in YOU. What a good feeling KNOWING that at least ONE SC BUDDY (whom you've never met in person) out there REALLY TRUST you..... & you them.

Cleo	posted 5-Jul-2003 4:55am Starbuck!! Cool welcome to SC!! You will like it here! How long you been here? I've been here since Oct/Nov of 2000. But, yeah that's me at the top of the heading & this is my survey. This whole thing spawned from chatting to Dino,Maarten & Julie about thoughts of sending a camera around the globe. & how cool it would be if a lot of SC people would participate in the globe trotting "One Use Digital Kodak Camera" passing event. The more we chatted about it the more we thought it would be a cool thing to do. The only REAL catch is having the postage to pass it on to the (next)closest SC Buddy in your particular area. (hopefully no more than $5.00)My husband spends 5 times that just on cigarettes alone. Like for me it would be Kristal Rose & or Actress. If they decide not to play then, I would mail the camera directly to Kate in Oregon, who is the middle link to Mandy & Sue up in Washington, who are the links to Carol in Canada & so on & so on. The camera would hopscotch through out Canada to other SC buddies who will send the camera on down to Glassa or ROCKMAN in Montana, then passed on to(hopefully Colorado where Brian lives & on to Wisconsin to others there, others down in the southern states.....well you get the picture.... & on to MANY MANY SC buddies living on the East coast, who will then mail it over seas to Great Britain, Netherlands & HOPEFULLY a few people in Australia. Then back to the Netherlands where Maarten will download the camera picture to the internet. This is OUR first attempt of doing something as global as this. You know? Kinda like having the Olympic torch passed around the world. From a runner in Greece who passes it on to a runner in Italy, who pass it on to the next runner in Great Britain, etc. etc.... Wanna play with us? Read the above caption carefully & then let me know what you think. You can also read other SC Buddies concerns & then go from there. Just for the record more are participating than not. It is not a rush rush thing. It took the Olympic torch a long time to get to it's destination when it left Greece so we expect the camera to take at least that long or longer. No problem.

I bought a horse not long ago from a guy down around Garnett which is stright down I think its 59hwy, and it is nice in all them little towns!

If it's "only money" why not sell everything you own and give it to the poor? That's such a bullcrap rationalisation from a person who (let's face it) screwed up by losing $100. What if many people talk trash about you to the extent that you never have any peace of mind? Of course you can't just ignore every person if there are many. It's fine to say "move on" unless the trash talk is on-going. How do you "move on" from a thing that has not stopped? You need to accept that words do hurt. If they didn't there wouldn't be harrassment laws and kids killing themselves due to constant verbal abuse. Obviously you have never experienced intense and multiple verbal intimidation and harrassment that is still on going otherwise you wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it.

But, I did so I moved on! Why would I sell everything I own? I never said I was Mother Theresa & took a vow to never owning anything! When I said it was only money.....I ment in THAT particular situation & in other situations when losing money! THAT the act of losing money, is only money! So, you never heard anyone say, "It's only money?" Words do hurt! I'm not denying that nor did I dismiss it! I just said for me, I gotta move on! & how do you know that I haven't suffered a fate, such as intense mulitple verbal intimidation & harrasment......You don't even know me to say that!!!! I've suffered THAT & MANY other things in my life! 1)When I was 6 years old a relative-in-law (DUDE) molested me... I've moved on! 2)When I was 12 years old my dad stabbed my mother to death. ...Moved on! 3)Had to live with 3 more molesters when my father was incarcerated for a year,due to killing my mother,cause that's where the judge sent my sister & I to live util he got out of prison. The household(11 people) in which my sister & had to I live in my adult cousins would verbally & physically abused me while we lived there, so I finally ran away. Moved on!!! 4)When I was 18 I married a guy who 3 years down the rood cheated on me with my next door neighbor. Moved on! 5)When I was 17 year old I lost my father (who I loved with all my heart even tho he did kill my mother).....moved on 6)When I was 21 I lost a child due to miscarriage in the 5th month of pregnancy. Moved on! 7)Lost my first born grand child this February...Moved on!!!!!!!!! Many, MANY other unpleasant stuff have happened to me in my lifetime that I don't have the time nor want to share with you. & I'm thinking there will be more to deal with in my life. So, Don't judge me until you have walked in my shoes!!!!! Move on! Life is crapty to all kinds of people good & bad! Life doesn't select who to be crapty to, it crapty to EVERYONE at sometime or another!

So if need be take another shot cause as it looks 2 cameras are going to be out there. Also, you & Dino are the only Brits in there.
