What is the most beautiful place on Earth?

Just want to know where the beauties of the Earth are located. I'm talking here about sights, not girls/men!

In a private stall, sitting naked on a clean toilet seat, looking at a lot of your favorite pictures posted on the door that you masturbate regulary to!

I spent a summer in Northern BC on the border of the Yukon. I remember the northern lights started near the end of the summer. The sound is "shimmery" - it sounds like shshshshhshsh - kind of electric sounding.

Yes that makes sense to me there would be a sound I had never thought about it...I bet your sighting was even more spectacular than mine...but still was a thrill! * smile *

For me there is no one most beautiful place on earth. I love Glacier National Park in Montana. It has a beauty that speaks to me. I go to the desert in SE Utah when my soul is in deep need of healing. The South San Jaun Wilderness area gives me rest when I can't sleep. The Pacific Ocean is awesome to see from whatever coast. The same holds true for the Atlantic. I find great beauty in Atlantic Storms. Snorkeling in Hawai'i is also beautiful. I can't choose only one. I can say however, that the Four Corners Area (Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah) is home, with a larger home range encompassing the Rocky Mountains all the way into Alaska, and then back down the Cascades and Sierras. I love the mountains and the desert regions associated with them. (By the way, the sound of the ocean drives me crazy and keeps me awake). I've spent so much time backpacking and hiking the mountains and deserts of the western US that no where else speaks to me the same. I'd love to try new mountains in Tibet and new deserts in China, Africa and the Middle East. Who knows, maybe some day the world will reach a peaceful rest and I can then make those explorations.

I've lived in New York City for all of my 24 years and I don't see how anyone could say it's beautiful? If you like smelly garbage, then it might be beautiful. I've traveled a lot and I'd have to say Waikiki, Hawaii is my favorite location. After that it's Jerusalem, Egypt and Madagascar.

In a small village outside Aguilar, Spain, is the Baroque Iglesia de la Asunción. It's in the old quarter and it's claimed to be one of the oldest churches in the country (and Spain has some churches designated "old ruins"). This amazing site was constructed on the situation of a mosque, and it's still surrounded by supercilious cyprus trees and palms.

To stand in the interior center of this structure, and to take in its aged beauty..the air is dizzying--the structure seems to vibrate with its pent up energy, willfully created in the room over the hundreds of years it has endured. I was told that someone--an evangelist of the 17th century--might have been buried in the church somewhere, but I've never been able to confirm the story.

To southeryankee: The experience, albeit, was humbling.

There's this gorgeous valley in north central Arkansas that contains a stream (a stream in Arkansas is what most people would call a river) that widens out at one point into a pool that's several hundred feet deep and wide. There are enormous boulders in this pool right next to each other that are shaped just so that a person can climb up between them and jump from the top. If you lie on your back in the water and just let the current carry you, you will be taken downstream through some "rapids" that are generally only a few inches deep. You can go on this way for a mile or better until you reach another pool. I think this is probably the most beautiful place I've ever been, simply because if you catch it on the right day it's serene and quiet and simply lovely. If you catch it on the wrong day there are a thousand kids swinging from trees and doing canonballs from the boulders.

I haven't traveled much, but of the places I have been, I'd have to say that the mountains (hills) of West Virginia are the most beautiful places on Earth.

Anywhere that hasn't been changed and invaded by humankind, if their is such a place. Probably at the top of a mountain in a foreign, undeveloped country, or perhaps somewhere in the depths of the sea!

I live in Rattlesnake Canyon....about 30 miles east of Fort Smith, Arkansas, 10 miles west of Booneville, Arkansas. The wildlife run through the forest a lot, because there is a wildlife management facility/army base across the road from me (Fort Chaffee).

I've been to Buchart Gardens, a long time ago (1980?) I found a calandar in 1994 with pictures of it on every month. I saved the calandar and hung it up so just one picture is showing, without the month.

I used to catch alligators and snakes when I used to live in Louisiana.

Once I get settled in the Islands there I have talked about having a bunch of friends come for a big week long party. They have to pay their own way there and back but everything else will be on me. * smile *

I myself just want to live on an island like in the Bahamas or maybe even in Hawaii sense it is part of the States.

It's ok here. I just really hate the humidity and the unpredictable weather. I mean, here we are in mid April and it's cold. Go figure. The people here are great for the most part.
The Bahamas would scare me with all the hurricanes they seem to get. Hawaii would be nice but I've never been there....yet.
Right now I am leaning toward either New Mexico near the mountains or Northern California near Mt. Shasta.
ROCKMAN
(reply to iamdonte) posted 16-Apr-2004 10:07am

Oh I will make it * ! * I'm waiting for my girlriend to be ready and she's waiting on her son to get a little older. He is 16 right now, so a couple years yet anyway.

Teaching is a good profession though, at least your trying to help our youth and they need it! * smile *
Would it be that hard for you to get work lined up while out of the State you want to go?

I doubt it would be difficult. I am certified 7th-12th grade and I'm working on certification for 1st - 6th and when I have done that I'll certify special ed. I should be able to get a job anywhere.
