Some of these words represent broad styles of music, and some of them are more specific. I wasn't sure what to make of "western". It made me think of "western swing" hence my response. The first ska band that occurred to me was really more of a "ska revival" kind of band, but it was the first one that I thought of. Mandy was torturing me with Slipknot on her car stereo yesterday, but luckily it was only a quick trip to the grocery store. Funny thing is, I like the music, I just can't stand the way the lead vocalist (to avoid the word "singer") screams the whole time.

Like grmbrand said before, just because I picked Garth Brooks doesn't mean I like his music. I don't care much for most country music, so I don't know a lot of country singers.
