You know, you catch a lot of flack here from people, but I just wanted to say that you've really grown as a person since I first came to SC. You deserve credit for that, even if you still lose your cool at times and throw fits now and again. You've gotten a lot better at controlling your anger and your surveys have improved so much. Your attitude too. Keep up the good work.

No, it's just stupid. It's like the Columbine incident. Rather than wanting to blame Klebolt and Harris, who were responsible, psychologists wanted to blame Marilyn Manson and the people who teased the two kids. Everytime someone does something illegal, psychologists blame someone or something else for the cause.

I'd have to say most of them. Psychology refuses to accept free will. Most psychologists believe that for every action you perform, it's the result of what the world has done to you, and refuses to accept that you do anything on your own.

There are different strands of psychology. Maybe right now the strand that says tv violence cause violence has a lot of prominence but it won't always be the case.

It isn't just that. People blame verbal abuse for making kids go insane. It doesn't make any sense.

If God is truly omniscient, omnipotent, and mostly omnipresent, than freewill goes out the door too.

If I had a child and shouted and swore at it during its formative years, it would probably not turn into a lovely adult.
