Do you have any special talents?

This survey has been done before in January 2000. I was just wondering if any of the newer people had any interesting talents. Here's a link to the old survey.

I can hear minor differences in wavelength (sound pitch) that other people seem unable to distinguish, and can hear and imitate sounds from other languages that many people who share my native tongue have trouble with.
Also, something that we always did in my family, that I thought was kinda weird, but it seemed to work, is the same thing that I later found out is being practiced more widely under the name Reiki. I did it for a friend of mine, and she swears it helped her tendonitis. I can only do it once in a while though these days, unlike my teen years, when energy just seemed to be bursting from my seams.

Lastly, (and this is a funny one) I can do something with my tongue that only one in 2,000 people are reportedly able to do. I found that out at a Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum. Too bad I'm already married, it would make a great pick-up line! LOL

I'm with you on the cooking and baking, and it's a splendid thing to love to do. And there are people in the world who appreciate it, believe it! We are the last bastion of defense against the onslaught of Home Meal Replacement as an accepted way of life. Eeech.

I wouldn't say I have any special talents, I can do most things that a cosmotologist can do and I have not been to school for it. I just started to practice at about 13, so I learned by trial and error.
I inherited a pretty good singing voice from my Dad.

It's a talent that's more common amongst left-handed people. Da Vinci wrote all his notes for his inventions using mirror-writing (he was a lefty). I think it has something to do with the fact that for a lefty, going right to left is easier than going left to right. I even wash dishes right to left.

Nothing special, no. I can probably do at least one thing that no one else can do, just like everyone else, so that isn't very special. Everyone has at least one thing they can do that no one else can do, so that isn't very special now is it? And if they DON'T the only thing special about their mediocrity is the fact that they can't do something "special" as it were. So really, that defeats the whole point of me answering. But I do, because I love to rant! :)

No I didn't get it yet. I haven't checked the mail today, though. YES I can read upside down. I had a co-worker once who used to be a teacher, so he learned to write upside down, so he could help kids with their assignments, without them having to walk around the desk. * laughing out loud * I wish I could do that. It would come in handy in all sorts of jobs.

Actually I never made the ribs, so I have NO IDEA what you were licking off your fingers (and please don't tell me)! Quincy went with some of his friends to the Portland area. They went to the Harry and David outlet store and to Powells (the largest bookstore in Oregon). He called before he left to let me know he wouldn't be home until late Sunday evening (he got in about 9:30 pm), so I just opened a can of chili for dinner.
