#CommentSurvey
Same and same - some things are just meant to be.If given a chance to redo history...
The old ways aren't necessarily the better ways, and sometimes there isn't any alternative, so I voted for conventional medicine. Herbs can be dangerous, ask anyone allergic to ragweed. I think in cases of terminal illness, when conventional medicine has no answer, then most any alternative treatments could and should be tried - providing these wouldn't prolong or increase a patient's suffering, and depending on the financial costs, I suppose. Speaking of suffering, is accupressure helpful for back pain, I wonder? I'm soon going to a third g.p. for this, and if they don't cure it... Medicine - alternative or conventional?
I think it depends on the question, and the wording, which is better.Which style of survey is better?
I've never been swayed by 'must look like that model' fads. I was thin all my life, until I gained a lot when my thyroid malfunctioned. Then I lost about 35 lbs over the last year from this same thyroid condition, and I'm more under weight now than ever. If I could find a way to bottle and market this, I'd be a multi-billionaire. Are you on a diet right now?
No, and I wouldn't even if I was overweight. I think a sensible diet doesn't necessarily need these 'specialty' foods. I hate the way food manufacturers have the nerve to label foods that never, ever had high fat (or even high calorie) content as low-fat. It drives me nuts. They're taking advantage of an ignorant consumer population. Fats are not all bad, nor are calories.Do you consume any food products which are marketed as diet/low fat/low calorie on a regular basis?
Algernon Charles Swinburne, but Leonard Cohen's okay too.Who is your favorite poet?
There was a guy in our group who used to hang around together, who many people thought was my brother - or my husband - because we looked similar. That's what they said - I don't know what resemblance had to do with marriage, unless those people were from inbred communities... Oddly enough, we were born in the same city, too. And met 3000 miles away from there. Are you a twin? If you are not, would you like to have been a twin?
I chose refrigerator, since it would keep food items cold, like cheese for sandwiches, milk for cereal, and so on. I was looking for 'computer' on the list, and then realized that's not an appliance. If you could only have one of these appliances (and no other), which would it be?
No, just the opposite in fact. And that's not bragging honest.Do you often feel stupid, dull, slow, or less cool as compared to other members of your social group?
I probably would keep it, because I rarely ever check change when I'm getting it. Who knows, maybe it works out even, after a few years. If a sales clerk mistakenly gave you extra money (US $10 equivalent) in change, what would you do?
