not yetHave you ever had a romance with someone who had the same name as a previous romance?
I'm sure I have just through ignorance of the law or habit (jaywalking in Germany ... being immodest in Japan ...) but never been arrested or anythinHave you ever broken the law in a country you were not living in?
Twice: 1) tannery factory worker got his arm crushed. Missed one week of college for it, but worth it. Settled out of court - never learned any details. 2) Guy accused of dealing cocaine. Police proved (and defendant admitted) that the cocaine was in his car, but police couldn't prove that it was his or that he was selling it. He served time for possession, but was acquitted on dealing.

My conclusion: courts move ridiculously slowly - it's a cumbersome, anachronistic system. They wouldn't let us take notes! So the lawyers ended up going over everything five times!
Have you ever served on a jury?
tell us about it?Have you ever served on a jury?
To prove it was his coke, and not the coke of passengers in his car, I think they were looking for fingerprints, or a witness to say they saw him holding this large bag, or a witness to say that this guy had tried to sell them some coke, but all they had was a bag of coke in the back of his car, just after he had been driving some friends around.Have you ever served on a jury?
You asked where it was that they don't let you take notes -- Massachusetts, at least when I did jury duty. The reason they gave us was that they didn't want jury deliberations to come down to "your notes against my notes". (Maybe the lawyers & judge should be forced to work without notes, too, to see how stupid this rule is?)Have you ever served on a jury?
Note: in spite of my criticisms of the courts above, I'd recommend serving jury duty to anybody who hasn't done it, and I'd do it again. It's quite educational!Have you ever served on a jury?
Ring came off when I separated from my wife. I was never a real avid ring-wearer, anyway. Are you wearing a ring right now on one of your hands?
Few days do.Did yesterday turn out the way you thought it would?
Not young ones. They should probably be running around or reading good stories, not getting caught up in chat and bboards.Should children be introduced to Survey Central?
