I fell a few years ago & messed up my knees. I can no longer ride a bike or run without considerable pain. Now that I am out of the habit of a regular workout, I can find a million excuses. Plus sitting at a computer at work all day, doesn't help. What is your level of physical fitness?
I don't mind moving out of the way of other people, but it really irritates me when I'm forced to hurry out of the way of a store's employees or when a bunch of young people are strung out across the walkway & force you out of the way. I really don't believe manners are being taught by many parents any more & that leads to a million other problems & a completely different survey.Scenario: You are walking down a narrow sidewalk, ahead of you is another person. The sidewalk is so narrow that one of you will have to move out of the way to let the other pass. What do you do?
I used to be very, very shy, but I made up my mind that this is my life & I'll live it the best way for me. I am no longer bothered to get in front of large groups & to entertain children & parents. My boss thinks I am too assertive (aggressive?), but I don't allow anyone to walk on me. He would like for me to conform I am sure & be a little meeker and there is no way on earth I can do that. Also, as you get older, you really don't give a damn about others' "approval" as you might at a younger age. I wouldn't do or say anything to intentionally give offense, but I don't hesitate to speak up. Are you shy?
With an elderly parent & aging relatives along with a new grandbaby, I HAVE to answer the phone if I am able. We have "call notes" & that way we don't miss any calls when we are online & we check them frequently. I have just about gotten rid of most of the telemarketers since I started telling everyone, even charities, to please put me on their 'do not call list.' It is wonderful!Ring. Ring.
When waiting at a traffic signal. or anywhere you are in line in your car, never pull so close to the car ahead that you cannot see the bottom of their rear tires. It prevents your car from sucking in the other car's exhaust gases & heat. Also it gives you maneuvering room in an emergency.Do you have a favorite 'rule of thumb' for making life a little easier? Possibly something you want to be sure to tell your children. Please tell us what it is in the comment area. Thank you.
First year of college...maybe I would do a better job of it. Work harder, play less.If you could repeat and school year, which would it be? (I only let you check one but if you MUST say more than one, say it in comments.)
I have worked with computers since the mid-60s & still love them. My fascination with them will go with me to my grave. I cannot imagine life without one.I more often say...
Whatever I have, it HAS to be caffeine-free.What is/are your favorite soft drink(s)? (if answer(s) cover diet and caffine free please mention it in the comments box)
husband & children ONLYHow trusting are you? Do you trust... (and for those of you who say "with WHAT??" how about with a secret that you don't want spread around?) You can check more than one answer.
