#CommentSurvey
21No. Well, I can do it if I build up some momentum, but I can't hold that position. The best I can maintain is about 6 inches away. It doesn't worry me too much, though -- I've -never- been able to do this. While standing, with your knees straight, can you bend over and touch your toes?
22All but the scalene triangle and Whitney's umbrella. My favorite is the golden rectangle, though. :)Assuming you were granted the ability to draw extremely well, would you know how to draw...
23Hey, you forgot salami. (Which reminds me, I haven't had a salami and ham pizza in ages.) The number of times per week that I have pizza ranges from one to six... average is probably about three. Pepperoni and Hawaiian are my staples, with others (like the BBQ Chicken Pizza at California Pizza Kitchen) are more dependent upon where I'm getting it from. Delivery pizza comes from New York Deli & Pizzeria in Waltham, Massachusetts. Lunch gets split three ways between Pizzeria Uno, Bertucci's, and Pizzeria Presti (a couple of towns over, in Burlington). CPK rocks. Domino's does not (but any port in a sufficiently-sized storm). Old (Worcester) haunts Primo Pizzeria and Tech Pizza (the latter one a Greek place) earn mention as well.Pizza!
24(This survey is a bit of an experiment... I'm still not sure how well it'll work, but it seemed worth a try. If you hate it, be gentle. :)

Two places get mentions for me:
  • Interstate 93 in the very heart of Boston. Too twisty, too fast, and way too packed with cars. This is the road to Hell.
  • Route 101 in southern New Hampshire. Two lane undivided highway, straight as an arrow (so people constantly drive about 70), and peppered with crosses off to the side of the road, where fatal collisions have occurred in the past. Hoo-rah. Just what my nerves needed...
Honorable mention goes to any rotary in Massachussets. (I -liked- them in Maine...)

*** LIZZIE: Hey, I drove the Bronx Expressway just a few months ago, on the way to a wedding in Jersey. It wasn't that bad. (Mind you, if the car had died on that highway, I'd be singing a different tune...)
Where is your least favorite place to drive?
25Sorry, I didn't originally envision that this survey would be so long. :) I used to be able to check a lot more of these answers than I can now. Hot rooms, total silence, lots of light, snoring, and completely empty houses keep me awake more than anything else... give me near-darkness, a cool room, white noise, and the subconscious knowledge that someone else is around, and I'm like a light, regardless of almost any other circumstances.

*** I find it interesting that the % of males that checked any given box was higher than the % of females -- by an average of 12%! Only a few had a higher % of females than males, and only one of those (sleeping on one's stomach) was higher by more than 3%. I have no idea what it means (if anything at all), but it's interesting nonetheless. :)
Sleep! Under which of the following circumstances can you sleep comfortably, and without much difficulty?
26Eek. Caught me, I haven't been reading much of anything lately. I need to finish reading The Diamond Age one of these days (got about 1/3 of the way through, then got distracted for long enough that I'll want to start over). That's probably next on the list. What book(s) are you reading right now? Would you recommend them to others?
27Most of mine date back to 1990, and sound much worse than they really were... but if I'm not letting anyone else get away on technicalities, I have to 'fess up as well. :)

*** ATZILUT: Hmm... I'll have to try harder next time, then, and come up with some more. ;)

*** DAVER: Nothing, so long as it's your machine, and/or you've got the quota for it. I've... pushed the limits, fairly often. I know I've got more than that on hotblack right now.
Internet Hall of Shame. Maybe you only did it once, maybe it was a decade ago, and maybe you regretted it later -- but chances are, you did at least one of these. Tell us about it. Have you ever...
28Terrified me? Never. Creeped me out, and made me generally uneasy for hours afterward? Frequently.Has a work of fiction (as an adult) ever truly terrified you?
29Hmm... I'll have to come back to this one later, I think. I think there were two or three different ideas bouncing around in my head back then, and I can't remember them all.

I do recall, however, that at one point I -really- wanted to be an astronomer. That didn't, and won't, come to pass... instead, I'm dating one. (Close, anyway... planetary science/geology major. :)
When you were little, "What did you want to be when you grew up?"
30I checked "I eat only black olives." This may be a bit of a stretch... the only olives I ever eat are the single ones that Bertucci's puts in the middle of their pizzas as a trademark. :)OLIVES!
