Turn signals. "Blinkers" on much rarer occasion. | what do you call those things that you turn on before making a turn?
Every six months... except for a period of a few years (just ended) when I managed to put it off nigh-eternally. *** LIZZIE: Dr. Lindberg(h?), over on South Street. | How often do you visit the dentist? (Emergency visits do not count.)
I haven't yet come across anything that screams out "you need to hang me from your rearview mirror," so I haven't. This could change at any moment, or not at all. | What hangs from your rear-view mirror?
I wouldn't be too concerned for their safety... after all, isn't it to China's advantage to make sure that they look good in the eyes of other countries? (Now, if they -lived- there, I'd be more worried...) *** As for the "miss them horribly" part, well, I'm in a long-distance relationship (Boston/Albany... that's long -enough-), so I'm already in that groove. :) | Your significant other is suddenly called away to China for a week and a half on business. You...
One of my best friends in high school was, quite simply, an alcoholic. (No, she wasn't of legal age.) One night, at a party thrown by a mutual friend, it all came to a head. I'd say about half of the people there were drinking, but most weren't drinking much... but she got utterly and totally hammered, and wound up vomiting on the floor (mind you, this was a "while the parents were away" sort of party, so frantic cleanup ensued). I don't think she remembered much (if any) of it afterward. She wound up in Alcoholics Anonymous shortly after that, and except for one brief relapse in the early part of her college career, has been sober ever since. She later told me that I'd been a big help while she was going through all of that -- not sure exactly how, I didn't really say much of anything. Maybe just because I didn't abandon her -or- chew her out over that night (but she knew what I thought of it, without a word being spoken). As for the generalizations, I don't think any of them hold. Each case is different... | Alcoholism. If you check any of the first 16 options, please comment.
Bad, unless you could turn it off... | Would linking all human minds together (such that direct non-verbal communication would be instantaneous with anyone on the planet) be a good thing or a bad thing?
All of my dreams are in vivid color, save for one. I was about 12 at the time, and that dream only had one black-and-white scene. I guess the director was feeling artsy that night. :) *** PREFECT: I'm with you. Don't you hate it when you dream that you're visiting Europe? Those PAL-to-NTSC conversions can be a real pain... | Do you dream in color or black and white?
Right eye dominant. (And amused by the "I have no hands" option. :) | Look at something distant. Bring your hands (at arms length) slowly together until this object is just visible between your thumbs/pointer fingers. Now pull your hands in, watching that object, until they reach your face.
It's extremely likely that I would play them all, but stop number one would be the sit-down Star Wars console. That game was really something to behold at the time, and is still very cool. (And they'd better have a Tempest machine there, too. ;) *** DOOM: "Raisins" (a.k.a. "Super Sprint with Missiles" :) was known to the mundane world as "Badlands." (And, if you don't mind me asking, who -are- you? I thought I'd identified all the people here that I knew... but if you know about that nickname, obviously not. :) *** Ok, that narrows it down to -two- people. Which of you is actually answering the surveys? ;) | If you went to the Video Game Museum (St. Louis, MO), which of these would you run to first?
Randomly shifting patterns of colored splotches. Mostly dark blue and dark green. | If you close your eyes, and cover them with the palm of your hand (no pressure, just block all the light, what do you see?
