Especially when you take my first and middle together; Edward Charles. Now, I know I was named for my two grandfathers, so I do acknowledge the sense of family in my name, but I've never felt it matched me as a person. 'Ted', on the other hand, my chosen or given nickname (not sure where it came from) I feel only sort of fits me. Whereas 'Edward' seems *too* dignified, 'Ted' often seems to understate me.
