| 45 | lara: Well, the Beastie Boys are an odd one. I don't currently feel guilty about liking them, but it took me a long time to get here. When they started, I HATED them. When I started to like them, I was really worried that I'd had some kind of stroke or something. I was reassured when I heard an unfamiliar Beasties song that I hated--I thought it represented an unfortunate return to their snotty, musically inept earlier days--and found out that it was from one of their first albums. So I think that it's not so much that I've changed, although I clearly have, but that they've grown up. (As for South Park, I love the subversiveness and heterodoxy of it, but I have a real problem with all the potty humor.) | Do you have a "guilty" pleasure that's only guilty in your mind? |
